Watching modders last night made me realise why I love him so much. Would be gutted to see him go. Do you think Moyes could get the best out of this type of players? Its interesting how there is a lot of ITK floating around suggesting that Harry may be off. I think we would have already done it if this was the case.

As someone pointed out last night, the ITK, from JJ, Pottle and Archibald—i.e., those with a connection to the club and a proven track record—doesn't suggest that at all.

No, not at all and he wouldn't I don't think.

But I heard he's being lined up.

Though it if happens year upon year and would thought you carer was stagnating, you might just think that this time enough was enough and be open for a jump. Not saying he would throw toys out of pram and make demands, but if Spurs asked i do think he would go and the selling of players would definitely be one reason to do it.

Of course that assumes he isn't desperately holding out for the Man Utd job?!

I sometimes see people talking about Moyes holding out for the Man Utd job. I just can't see how a manager who has never won a trophy would be a candidate for the hardest job in football - following Ferguson.

Apparently Harry took Sandra to the Chelsea Flower Show the other week and had an allergic reaction which left him with a touch of catarrh.

There. Two rumours explained in one.

It's obvious why no signings have been announced yet. We can't sign anyone until the new kit is unveiled. What are the new signings supposed to hold up? A bib?

Watching Modric last night just reminded me of how well he can play when his heart is in it. How many performances like that did we see from him last season compared to the season before it?

Many, people sometimes get blinded expecting miracles, he played very well last season, especially at the start like most then suffered from tiredness like again with many of our players that did. He was instrumental in the way we played and ran games.

Might be worth noting that Bojan has some ridiculous release clause that Barcelona put into his contract with Roma. I think it's something like £12m up front with another £12m if they don't sell them back to Barcelona in two years. Not sure if we'd have to buy that out or not.

He really didn't. Started the season reasonably well but was nowhere near as good as the previous season. I certainly wasn't expecting miracles and he was never poor, but his performances noticeably slipped.

Really do not want Capello, he is the big name we need i agree with that, but the way he plays and how he interacted with the England team left me less than impressed. I dont think it would be a good move personally.

Moyes is a bit of a conundrum, when papaers link him to united you think it would be a good move, and his big name will not be a massive issues just cos it is United, and within the first 1 his name would be known globally if he signed there. If he came to us with a bigger budget and managment and getting the best from average players then he could be a Gem in waiting, just not sure if we may be able to hold on to some of our current crop of big names as it may portray a lack of ambition in getting a top name manager, its a bit of a conundrum really!!!

i think people not just aimed at you, but alot of spurs fans were sitting with rose tinted glasses, i think he was professional in terms of him getting on with the job and not affecting his game, its just the media didnt hype and w*nk over him as much this year, attention was soley on Bale and Redknapp.

Moyes has been more successful than I expected when I first saw him in 80s movie The Burbs lugging bin bags in the night

I agree that he was professional in his approach but perhaps it was the exceptional level of his performances in the previous season that made him look poorer. There were definitely more sloppy mistakes from him last season, and his decision making was not as consistently good. I wasn't actively looking to spot errors from him - just stating what I observed.

Anyway this is a conversation best had in the Modric thread.
