I don’t even get why though. Like surely they know it’s a negligent business decision let alone a footballing one to not recruit at least one high level centre half. The state of the defence is why we missed out on European football which would’ve hurt their pockets massively. To not address that just seems totally braindead.
I bet he thinks with Maddison and the impetus of attacking football it should be enough for a top five challenge.

That's all he gives a shit about, anything else in the clubs eyes is a waste of money.

When Agne said he wanted to assess everyone....music to Levy's ears....course he put the brakes on Micky etc...which clearly wasn't done unfortunately.

That's not exactly what has been said, it's that it's gone super quiet not that they've heard that we are not buying, although former may lead to the latter it absolutely may not, we just don't know.
Read the second post in this thread mate. What else do you think “poundland versions” could mean?

I'll be honest. As of now If we don't end up short yet again, with poundland versions or last minute panic buys I'll be surprised.

Very poor way. Season only four weeks away. Assessment we need central defenders don’t require time. Sanchez wants out, and Perisic. Nothing to assess there. Here we go again Trix. You know where this is going mate.

What part of this says "Its gone super quiet [on incoming transfers]"

Seems like DL has pumped the brakes on VDV while he waits for Ange to evaluate.

Thinks he may be able to save a few bucks just in case Ange thinks he can work with someone, so it’s not prudent to buy right now. Why buy? We might not need them! We can just wait until he’s made his decision the deal will still be there!

*VDV is sold to someone else*

*commence panic buy or poundland buy*

Levy is playing 4D chess. We all expect or hope for 2 top CB’s. Now we fear none but if or when we only get one we’ll all be so grateful.

Hopefully Ange can make his assessment and work out what won't work, what he needs instead, and then we move on from there.

Will be choosing to back his judgement and hope that the club backs him, and if not that he walks. But I feel that we'll give him what he needs, because we've given other managers more than Ange is going to ask for in season one. Hopefully he has more spine than Conte or Jose who I think we all thought wouldn't accept anything less but ended up taking the cheque anyway.

Really does seem like the business to date was because a deal could be had, as always. Don’t know why we’d have expected anything to have changed, looking back!

When someone asked what had changed, Trix replied not much. I read that to be no news, i.e it's gone quiet. You could argue that what was meant that the club hasn't changed. It's open to interpretation, but I'm not gonna start asking ITKs questions.

Yep. Or perhaps all the CAA Base people have gone on their summer holidays and so Levy is back leading the negotiations with predictable consequences

To me it reads like opinion rather than ITK news. I know that ITKs sometimes state when things are opinions rather than news but there wasn't any qualification to the statement such as "I've been told" or "I've heard " that we're now in Poundland territory so it sounded like opinion.

Maybe I'm just hoping it is opinion rather than wanting to face the truth.
