I wouldn’t have taken that from the info just given. The second CB yeah, but it sounds like we are trying to get the right deal on Tapsoba. I have no ideas of the numbers involved, but I wouldn’t think there’s a huge difference in what we want to what they’re asking. Just my take on it.

Im not sure how you’ve read it like that to be honest regarding Tapsoba, we’ve been in talks for weeks similar to Bayern and Kane, they’re still miles off I bet we are too, I’d wager we only get Tapsoba If Kane goes.

Defender’s

As things stand Still pushing for the no 1 cb tap club don’t wanna lose him (they say ) player has agreed to come ) spurs won’t pay what Leverkusen are asking are trying to bring the price down. The second cb will probably not arrive till late in the window (the current target for this) there is another other cb we like, if he becomes available within the next week or so we will strike for both no 1 and the other option we want.

if Kane goes could slightly alter the targets but I don’t think we will defer to much from the plan.

The Laporte situation is still there too and this could become an option further down . City still have got their house in order .

we also like Josip sutalo he’s on this dang list

Josip Sutalo is a very, very good option.

Hate to use the comparison as it's so easy to make, but he really is a cheaper version of Gvardiol (Just minus his blistering pace).
He is far more refined than Van De Ven is aswell, but again, while by no means being slow, he lacks his rapid speed.

Zagreb rejected a €15m bid from Fiorentina for him, and are apparently looking for closer to €25m which is fantastic value. But 'Prem tax' might bump that asking price up.

Oh I missed the Sutalo bit.

He’s very good, brilliant on the ball, big and strong, not overly quick but not slow by any stretch of the imagination.

Šutalo is very similar to Tapsoba, would be a decent alternative. He will end up at a big club in the next 2-3 weeks. Dinamo wants him to break club transfer record, around 30m(euro). Him and Gvardiol are seen as modern CBs that are great technically and have decent pace, something Lovren (technique) and Ćorluka (pace) previously lacked. He is slower than Tapsoba but not by much, obviously can't compete with VdV in that department.

Sutalo would be a very good pickup. He is a class CB who is positionally very good, aerially good, press resistant and good on the ball. Everything you need in a good CB.

I don’t even know who plays CB for Bournemouth and we get linked to some guy who plays 4 trillion miles away and some on here know his pace, his strengths, what foot he plays with, his height, what he had for dinner and what his girlfriend likes in the sack (beads).

I haven’t heard of about 90% of the players we’ve been linked with. This Maddison guy from lessester? Where even is that?

Anyway, seems the ones that do know Sutalo are all giving him the thumbs up so it’s yet another new player I’d never heard of before that I’ll be gutted at not getting.

Having been through more windows than Tom Cruise's stunt double, I've noticed that if we don't think good signings are important by the time we start playing football again, that generally they don't get made. That jolting feeling of disappointment when SkySports starts talking about deal sheets and sh*t, but the soaking wet reporter has long since left the training ground.... wait, there's four weeks left, so I should keep my powder dry till then? OK!
