Yep, although you have to say, if it was as bad as some have stated in the past, Harry most certainly still wouldn't be with the club you would have thought.

Why are people cacking themselves about caulker. There is no way we would sell him. If he loans out again and makes waves about moving then we bring him back and play him after the loan. Walker was saying he was happy to stay at villa if I remember correctly. Without Bassong and Nelsen and Gallas/King there is easily place for Verty and Caulker.

One way or another I'm sure he will be a spurs player for years to come.

Caulker is a great player and has loads of potential to be a player of such a quality. I would love him ar Spurs next season as it benefits our team and squad, but for me the bigger picture is that we would benefit more than being on loan next season than staying here, in my opinion.

I have created a thread in Spurs Chat for Caulker chat, so if a MOD wants to move all the chat from here to there.

My sole opposition to the point of view that we should loan him out to continue his development is that, having spent the last four seasons on loan away from the club, he may become disillusioned and want to leave having never really developed a connection to Spurs. As things currently stand Caulker and Kaboul would be my first choice centre back pairing for next season with Gallas/King rotating in. We haven't signed Vertonghen yet.

The OS article is from 2010. The Goal.com article is from July 2011, when Caulker extended his deal to 2014.

Well one reason is that his contract ends next summer.

Young players contracts are always ending its nothing to worry about. Ultimately why would he want to leave? Walker did a good shift on loan, came back at is now 1st team, would be going to the euros if he was fit and is young player of the year.

That would suggest we are a good team to play at for youngsters.

Just managed to speak to my colleague after being ignored this weekend! Here's a brief summary:

Vertonghen is pushing for the deal but respects the club too much to request transfer. He thought it would be done by now but Ajax moved the price up. Somewhere around 10.5-11should settle it, they dont want less than 10. 2-3 days if that
He did say Modric will probably go to fund deals for Remy and Adebayor - I asked why Modric and he said opinion, one of him or Bale probably need to go but will be abroad unless City offer silly money and/or players
Asked about Lloris. Just said he's been looked at
Also said Dembele is being seriously considered as well
Wouldn't say much more apart from 2/3 deals before Euro's start
Also said he thinks Harry will stay

Nothing groundbreaking or too sexy...

How can someone possibly disagree with my statement? Think someone needs to watch some more live games rather than MOTD.
