Indeed. Been on 2 different message boards for 2 different teams in 2 different sports this morning, both of which are currently in the midst of "question/piss on ITKs legitimacy" right now. What are the odds?

1:1 knowing sports supporters world wide. Well except for those fuckers in hand-ball. They never question ITK because they're too busy patting themselves on the back for never questioning ITK. I fucking hate them so much

It's interesting how we all talk about setting expectations lower and giving Poch & the squad time to settle into a new style & formation....oh wait ...we also then bitch & whine like crying little brats about "no investment, same old spurs, levy this etc" WTF!!!?? It's also the main reason we have such a hostile home support ...unrealistic expectations ...we can't arsed about patience (even though we all know how to mouth the words!) yet we expect to achieve everything all at once by some miracle or fluke. Signing MS & MM & Depay & god knows who else does not guarantee us anything ....ahem ...remember last season!!!

Seriously, how about we just focus on what our team is doing out there (even if it looked disjointed against wetspam, the points table doesn't describe how we won - just that we got 3 points!). For the first time in a few years, I see happy, motivated players. I see players who showing a stronger desire to succeed. Do you really think Levy is trying to snooker us by lowballing? Do you really think Levy appoints a manager & then 3 months later dicks around with him on transfer targets? Do you really think the board wants us to fail on the pitch consistently ....if you do, I think it's time you supported manshitty or chelscum ...instant gratification but only while your billionaire remains interested!

My sense is that for once there is unison in the boardroom & backroom, even though I get frustrated by how long it takes us to do our business, I'd trust folks like JJ when they say it's way more complicated than we understand today. Let it be!

It's way too damn early in the season to be doom mongers ...shut up, put up and cheer your blowholes off! COYS!!!

Why's everyone stressing over what Ryantegan's friend told him?

Is it the same friend that told him we had launched a ''solid bid for batschya''?

Can I post what my friends tell me?

Think ryan said it.

His sources are wider spread than more or less anyones nowadays, means he gets a vantage point that's pretty much second to none.

Except you Kaiser, except you. Go enjoy spurs chat (y)

So the latest ITK is that MS and MM are unlikely.

And that clubs are after Townsend - one of Spurs most exciting players.

And then the news that Spurs may be acquiring the overly large and slow, Fazio.

And that Chiriches may be on his way out of the Club. A talent that has real upside.

And that Lazio is back in for Sandro - one of Spurs most popular & effective players.

I wonder who is advising the Club on transfers. Can the news get any worse?

Would love to know exactly what Vlad did to become persona non grata. Gotta be a non-football reasoning behind this
Well, there is that time that he got rat arsed and flailed about on YouTube like Stretch Armstrong. Maybe that wasn't his only flirtation with the Stoli!

We don't all talk about setting expectations lower. It's Spurs, I expect bold expectations, something else is fit for lesser clubs.

maybe not so much lowering our expectations ...more like recognizing that instead of dreaming we will start conquering all before us immediately, we'll understand that it takes time for things to gel. Then again ...maybe I'm overly patient ...heck, I don't know. All I know is, I want us to make a mark this season, I want that spurs swagger to return, I want our players to prove every critic wrong....

So you don't think it's high time we got ourselves over the line by addressing the remaining few weak areas of the squad to give ourselves the best chance of succeeding....

My unnecessary analysis of your post:

Clubs are after Townsend but we don't want to sell so you can calm down on that note

Overly large - I'm pretty sure being tall helps you as a CB and being slow can mean less if you're intellegent.

I agree with you regarding Chiriches.

Poch isn't keen on Sandro clearly so I don't think all the fans will mind if he's sold....

Yes, the news could get worse.

You know, I'm not hearing the same amount of doom mongering that some people are, but I am hearing a lot of people making accusations of doom-mongering. I don't think the majority of people expressing concerns on this site are particularly angry with Levy, or the amount of money that's been invested. I think they're just a bit unimpressed with some of the decisions that have been made. For instance, making a slightly higher offer, or less procrastination in some cases, may well have made the difference between signing a mediocre player or a good one.

I do!! But unlike most on here, I am prepared to wait till 1 September to start passing judgement & ridicule. For now, we have a few games coming up ...I'm supporting the mighty spurs to win tonite & beat QPR!! As a supporter, nothing will make me happier! I'll deal with judgement & fallout if & when I see we neglected these important steps

The only 2 players I actually think are quality from our squad are loris and eriksen, I think many way overrate our players.
Couldn't agree more , we could sell any other player in the squad and it honestly wouldn't bother me , says a lot about the quality , I was gutted when Modric , VDV and Bale were sold.

I'm prepared to concede that maybe its a matter of interpretation ....just have a look at any of the transfer forum threads and every one of them has disintegrated to pointy, shouty stuff ....if we all cannot be united behind our beloved club then what's the point?

I woke up at 6AM and there were already 60 replies to this thread. Now there are almost 500. Have we had any ITK?
A summary would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Yes,

80% MM has turned into 20%

MS high hopes has turned into 'he's not for sale actually meaning he's not for sale'

and,

apparently we're close to signing Sevilla centre back Fazio who's regarded by some as Mertesacker mk2 and others as Dawson mk2.
