I think we should make today anti-spam day. After all, why deny Grapo the horn?

Anyone spamming the thread will be fined a donation and anyone not spamming the thread will also be fined a donation.

They used to call it Catch 22, but I feel that calling this arrangment Levy 22 is much better.

I am starting to think A & C is either my wife or one of my children due the alarming frequency with which he asks for money!!!

Con feds cup still going on. Doubt anything will happen till it's finished.

Agree with this not disagree like my iphone fat fingers implies. sorry!

But All this talk of having our targets in early is pointless, seeing as most our targets are in the con fed and most wouldn't have had an off-season. Our potential shiny new players risk burnout no?

As A & C couldn't be arsed today I'll tell ya all something true from this week.
Living in Southern China and having an extended Chinese family sometimes some jobs need to be done. In our works office was a mouse and so everyone voted me the exterminator! Ok I went to the market- bought a trap, set the trap up caught the unwanted little mouse.:) Now do I just let it go or kill it? I decided to use the mother in laws red bucket. I've never seen anyone use it until today! I drowned the little mouse and got rid of the body. Then after telling them all how happy I was etc. Got told the red bucket is used to wash our underwear by hand each morning and mine had been washed today!

Jesus, this is going to be a long summer.

I'm afraid it will be even worse than waiting for the end of the Confederations Cup. When it's over the players from the tournament will all head off on holiday, having not had a break in May. This happens after all the summer tournaments.

It will probably be end of July before the players we're most interested in - David Villa, Paulinho and Bernard make decisions on deals and moves. Or - at least - that will be the excuse!

It'll be ages - but so what? This quite sad almost physical need some people have for us to sign someone, anyone, is just weird and embarrassing.

Sure it's nice to have players in for pre-season but the point is that's not started yet, everyone is still on holiday and will be for a while yet.

I see people on Facebook groups slating Levy etc with the usual 'get your wallet out stingy Levy' bullshit and it drives me mad.

I'm not saying I want to Levy-it-up-to-the-max at 11pm on deadline day, I just don't see why we have people getting depressed or worried that we're somehow going to miss out if we don't sign everyone we want tomorrow. The transfer window opens on the 1st July and most transfers won't be done until after that date as player contracts usually expire/tick over on 30th June.

Add to that the Confed Cup and the fact that many players aren't even going to be available at the moment.

It'd be nice if people stopped wringing their hands or preparing to throw themselves off tower blocks just because we haven't signed anyone ridiculously early that's all.
