Or how about bas dost?
Don't. Would be a very good signing. The sort of signing we should be making. Not a ridiculously expensive, ready-made striker. We don't have the wage bill to do that. Very promising good young players though...

Getting my hopes up 'n stuff.

imo we wont get any of them

we will end up with adebayor and vdv again for next season.

Tbh neither Remy or Doumbia are fit to lace Ade's boots.

Ade will be the star signing of the summer, even if we get Verts, Remy and Leandro as well.

Can't really disagree with that. Is he perfect? No. He is a striker comparable to Berbatov though for quality. More suited our team at the moment than Deerface was or would be, in fact. If he can guarantee us ~20 goals a season and chip in with anther 10 assists for the next 3 or 4 seasons then what a signing he'd be.

If...

32 league goals in 34 matches is nothing to be sniffed at and I mentioned him a couple times before as he fits the remit of a good up and coming striker who's not going to cost the earth yet has fantastic potential to be a big player for us.

I prefer the look of Luuk de Jong to Bas Dost - wouldn't reject either though if we could get either.

Frank De Boer maybe?

For Harry?!

After turning down Liverpool I'm sceptical whether he would move to us but then after winning the Eredivisie for two years straight he may feel ready to move on to a bigger stage - no disrespect to Ajax.

My head would explode with excitement. Both of them.

Admittedly I know little of Frank de Boer as a manager and his own individual style but I would still plump for Rodgers over him personally. Has he shown that much promise as manager of Ajax in such a sort space of time or is it more the fact that he is a big name and possible big draw for Dutch players?

I'd like to answer your question but the Jack-booted Nazi oppressors who don't share my view of the manager situation would go ape shit. No. No, I'll stick to being a coward thanks. :D

Probably for the best fella! ;)

An Eriksson, Vertonghen & De Boer triumvirate would be interesting though...
