We've lost out on players before. If he comes, great. If he goes to Chelsea, lets hope he ends up being the next Arshavin.

could the deal have been closed quicker to avoid this position, were we haggling etc .... I don't know so can't get too pissed off at present.
What will piss me off though is if we sell Bale before Lamela and a n other (could still be Willian) are signed

Right now I'm just busy gaining perspective on all of this. Sell Bale then, I've managed my expectations all summer and I'm ready. Replace him with Lamela but don't sign Willian? Well two weeks ago I'd have taken either and been happy with just one so if it means we have Lamela and a week left for Franco and AVB to work some magic and find an attacking midfielder with £30m+ burning a hole in their pocket then so be it, roll on a crazy last week of the transfer window.

Bild (according to BBC rumour section) are saying ozil could be available for 38 if bale comes in... if Willian falls through and Madrid can't afford full fare.... I've heard of stranger things.

Sorry if this has already been mentioned, can't keep up with speed of the thread.
I'm sorry if Ozil is available and willing to come to us, not that he would be, I would drive Willian to Chelsea and tie a big pink bow in hi Afro and say "here you guys, he is all yours, we have bigger fish to fry". Ozil is a immense player and I would take him an day instead of Willian. Not going to happen tho.

what a fucking great entertaining transfer window we have had so far, just hope chelscum don't ruin it the ****s.

at the moment i'm not in a position to donate, due to a SALT bill of about £3000, need to book laser treatment on my eyes due to the amount they have been used this last few weeks, cause those new glasses I got at the start are all ready worn out.

COYS seal this deal for Willian the chelscum won't even play him, they are only this because they are worried we are a threat, the same as they did with Oscar last season.

oh well best get back to page 1 and start again

I'm actually finding this whole situation incredibly amusing. It must be absolute carnage for the poor bastards trying to sort these deals out - rather like herding cats. The only difference is that you are against other cat herders in a massive arena where anything goes.o_O

The good thing that this whole Willian episode highlights, is that Spurs are being taken very seriously by other teams. We are not at the very top table yet. We are however, getting close. COYS

I'm loving the flickers of hope that Ozil is available. Some people will grasp at anything and then believe fiercely. I'm sure we'll soon have pages of posts jizzing over Ozil.

I just want Lamela & a CB like Vlad. Any others are pure cream

I just hope that whilst all this is going on, someone is looking at reasonable alternatives. If we don't get Willian we will need someone else (even if we do get Lamela...and that's also gone quite quiet), and there isn't a huge amount of time for us to conclude deals.

We can't leave ourselves in a situation where we put all our eggs in the Willian basket and then have no time to sort anything out if and when he decides to go to Chelsea.

How come Chelsea go after the players AVB wanted after he leaves? Poor bastard.

I know he's the type of player we need but I'm ready to move on if he wants chelsea. His agent would shop him in a year no matter what anyway plus we don't want that agent anywhere near our other players.

Get Lamela in and if we still want a playmaker. We can get Adam Ljajic for 10mill which is a bargain.

I'd be concerned about us flinging money away on not-so-good alternatives. As long as we can bring in one top attacking player (hopefully Lamela) then sitting on that money until January or next Summer isn't the worst thing we could do.

Have not seen anything to be gutted over Willian. If he doesn't sign, then fine, if he does, then I am sure he will be an excellent acquisition as it would seem from early signs on other signings that they are excellent.

As people have said, he will get more game time at Spurs, but if he is driven by money then he will go to the scum. Personally I think that money will talk and he will go to the scum to sit on the bench.

I knew there was something about him. It's the eyes I think.

Just wait until you see 'certain posters' on the match threads after we drop our first points this season! I think some post concussed immediately after they have knee-jerked themselves to the head.
Didn't you see the memo?
We are not dropping points this season.

Lamela and Willian kind of struck me as a joint signing replacing Bale. Well, to be honest, Lamela seems to closest fit, and appears to have the greater ceiling potential wise, so if we were to miss out on one, I'd prefer it be William.
This is all hypothetical, as I actually think we will still sign Willian anyway. Until I see his signing to Chelsea confirmed, I'm remaining sure out initial move will pay off.

Not being funny but having IMTW back is the best signing of the window. He's like a good talkshowhost. ;)
