Oh no you don't. You can stay here and take your licks like the rest of us. I mean, come on, did we really all expect us to have it all our own way in this transfer window?

It'll make it all the sweeter when we actually sign someone at some point soon. We gotta have the lows to enjoy the highs etc etc guff guff guff.

You sound like you're in charge of the daycare centre.

I'm cranky and need burping.

No noise out of Pottle today then? He seemed pretty damn certain it was all done on Willian and he's not one to jump the gun now, is he?

Not having a pop ... unforseens and all that, just wondering if there are any updates floating around from him that I might have missed?

I never thought it was done for a moment myself as I know we are cursed by the darkest of Magic. But to be fair to POTL it sounds like it pretty much was as done as you could expect. ready to send of the paper work until Chelsea came in just before we put the bloody thing in the fax machine:ROFLMAO:

Things I fancies about Willian was how physical and relatively muscular he is, which Eriksen (Siggy mark 2), Pjanic and other similar guys are not. This means he can bulldoze through defensive ranks with his dribbling. AVB is all about building an physically athletic outfit - Falcao, Hulk...this was another one of his guys. Hope he aint too pissed of if we have failed YET AGAIN!

I don't know about you but I go to WHL to watch football not marvel at muscle bound men. Still, each to their own.

It all happened after POTL last posted. I think he like everyone else at the club thought it was all a formality. He did suggest it was all down to crossing of t's and dotting of i's though. As we have all found out from transfers over the years a deal is never officially done until it's announced by the club.

To be honest, its not that we have lost out on Willian that has me peeved, but the fact that we were exposed publicly in how did conduct this deal. This was confirmed by Mourinhos mocking and smug comment about not doing medicals before contract is signed i.e. we were amateurish in our attempts now we are playing with the big boys. Those on RAWK, Red Cafe, Arsenmania etc must be having a field day at our expense. Lessons learned I hope.

meh let them laugh, they both have their own massive problems

Okay, so we lost out on Willian.

But you know what that means? Levy and Baldini with a load of cash to burn looking for a quality attacking playmaker in the final few days of the transfer window. And given our propensity to make some quality late signings...I'm pretty excited.

I can't help but think that the those who are most to blame for this colossal fubar are in fact the very people that spend so much time here.

We all demand ITK.....to know what's happening before anybody else. I only do it for the absurdity, but its no different that the people that do it serious.

And so a market like that produces suppliers. And those suppliers tipped SSN and then Chelsea off to this (as much as we want to blame Kia or Mourinho).

And he we are.

Levy always wants lock-down and this proves why.

Time to reevaluate. I feel that I have harmed the club pretty terribly here. Hell I am the one that posted 50% of the rumors that made it to twitter. And if I am hurting the club on the same level as Chelsea that makes me a **** and I really don't want to be a ****

I'm not sure I can even call myself a supporter right now. :(

Time to close the ITK forum... better for the club. If this is the case. Keep the chat to onions only. O.O 'Onions Only' 00

You have to laugh at the whole debacle. Mourinho looks to have slowed us down a bit and possibly put the brakes on RM announcing GB ,all in one well timed move! This is the sort of master stroke you can only play when you have a spare £100m down the sofa. It really isn't worth getting bitter over. COYS

but Willian is a player that comes along once in a generation

Really? Why has he then been capped only twice?

I'm rather disappointed how this panned out, however earlier in the window when Willian was mentioned he was hardly THE player to get for me. All the buzz in last few days naturally made him seem like so, but is he really that unique or special?

Is there an advantage to us doing medicals before signing contracts? It's just that in my yoof transfers seemed to always be "subject to medical", i.e. everything was signed and legal unless the player failed the medical and the contracts would then be voided.

I'm not blaming the club for doing it a different way just wondering how common it is and what potential advantages it would give us, if any.

Sadly I don't think it's just a 'number 10' that we need. One of the advantages with Willian was his ability to play from the left. Assuming we get Lamela (please God), we'd have him, Lennon and Townsend to cover the right wing. We've only got Chadli and Sigurdsson for the left wing, unless I'm forgetting someone.

Not your fault mate, but I don't know why anybody would put themselves up as 'ITK'! Maybe a bit of hero worship, I don't get it, not knocking them, if that's what they want to do fine, they do it in good faith, but for everyone that does it there are those that could, but wouldn't touch it with yours! I hear stuff all the time, I know 4 ex players. I'm at the training ground regularly, I'm around the players lounge a lot, but I wouldn't get involved in all that for all the shit you get back, I did say earlier this week it wasn't done! Someone mouthed off at me for that, but hey. Bollox, I knew it wasn't! So good luck to all those that put themselves up on a plateau, they are there to be shot at, it's up to the individual to read it, out some common sense to it and see what happens, this week has proved that unless you're sitting next to DL himself, you aren't really in the know...

Those on RAWK would love to have got as close to signing him as we did.
Red cafe and Arsemania are still waiting for the chequebook to be opened for the first time this window.

They've all got their own problems to worry about. Besides, let's see what happens before September 2nd to see who has the last laugh.
