Truth is and it has been said already, if we fail in the summer to bring in some good signings then yes Conte will walk. Levy will know that is it for him and ultimately there will be no option but go
Which is probably why the club is more focused on getting Ndombele, Lo Celso and Alli out the door. Thus giving us much more potential to spend and bring in players in the summer without the limitation of little room in salary budget.

I'm at the point where im expecting legit zero incoming and hopefully a couple outgoing at minimum. With that being said I just hope that sets us up nicely for the summer. I'm trying my absolute best to be patient but if in summer shit hits the fan and we still can't get a 20 mil transfer over the line I will legit fly out to London, find where levy lives and give him the funds myself to get that cheese room up and running because that is the real cause of all of this shit. If that cheese room was completed we'd have gotten dybala, he thought the stadium was nice, but just felt it was missing something.

Who cares?

The real question for this forum - do Spurs need to get quality players in to compete for the top-4?

The answer is: Yes!

If other teams don't get anyone in - that is good news.

Market activity is a relevant indicator.

As I said before, just panic. Literally lose your minds about something you’re hearing in the press that’s probably 0.1% of the information on a situation.

I would join in, but, you know, it ain’t that deep.

Isn't Fabio famous for plastering the press with numerous targets while focusing on the main one?

Doesn’t this move for Amrabat sound like exactly that?

This is his MO, there's no decent itk to confirm that he's our main target.

How are people letting this wind them up?

Hoping this is the case. Main target being Kessie i would guess.

think this is wishful thinking. di marzio and fabrizio have both said he’s our main target. this is definitely the guy.

I think I'm gonna try and take a step back and analyse the bigger picture.

First of all with Jan, I anticipated that we'd probably make the 1 signing in Traore and that signing does seem like it's going to happen. That signing along with Romero, Son returning does put us in a healthier shape than going into the break that's for certain.

I think we need to focus on 2 snippets of information, 1 is this January is heavily focused on preparing us for next summer and the other is that that we're still aiming for 3 in.

So looking at the focusing on the summer, it would seem to me that our first choices of players like Kessie and Brozovic are simply not willing to move due to being in a title race then ultimately it's up to Conte whether he'd prefer to move onto another target and forgot those or find a stop gap until they're available. I hope what transpires is his choice and I hope we get the player he wants in the summer. If we have to make choices which are underwhelming now such as amrabat in order for Conte to be in the summer I can accept that.

The other clear focus is that he seems determined to sort the outgoings in Ndombele, Lo Celso and Dele and rumours of that clearing a healthy amount of salary off the bill.

Which brings me to my next point, I'd say before I knew those 3 were going to be moved on, I would have been content with just Traore in. Now there's an argument to say that they weren't involved anyway but my hope was that with at least 1 of the 3 that Conte would find a use for them. With all 3 going I have to say I'm admittedly concerned with how thin on the ground we're going to be for the 2nd half of the season. Amrabat appears to be little more than a body in.

Which brings me to the 2nd snippet of information which is, we're aiming for 3 in. I have to say that Traore, I'm excited by, Amrabat I can live with on the basis of it being a short term solution to give us flexibility in the summer but that 3rd player, it's still an unknown and with the amount of wages we're trying to rush off of the bill, I really hope it's for something meaningful this Jan but we will see.

I am slightly concerned that top4 really is within our grasp, I really do hope the club know what they're doing over the next week because with the manager that we have, I'd personally say we're in the driving seat for top4 with how poor united have been. However we're taking an almighty risk offloading 3 players leaving us with no possibility currently of that more attacking midfielder regardless of there current level, the possibility they could find form is zero when they're not at the club so. I just hope the club know what they're risking this Jan and feel confident in their ability to make top4 with this approach to transfers. Traore, Amrabat as a short term body and then let's see what the final target is. Lets hope Amrabat serves his purpose and we see the best version of Traore.

Thing is he may well be now. We know that we've been pushing for Kessie, if we can't get him it may well be that this guy has become the front runner on loan because he's available until we can get Kessie. Keep in mind this is all speculation and nothing more.

Well not the Kessie bit we have been pushing for him.

Nothing like reading way too much in the exact wording used by an Italian, tweeting in English.

if Amrabat is a "main target" then it will only be because signing Kessie or McKennie is not possible in this window, for whatever reasons that we're not privvy to.

Amrabat's only job will be to come in and be more reliable and useful to Conte than Ndombele, Lo Celso and Dele have been and let's face it, that's not gonna be hard, is it?

Seriously, if people could manage to not overreact to every tiny detail and development then this thread might be less torturous to scroll through. FML.

Gotta love equating being unhappy with transfer plans with "literally losing your mind"
The transfer plans you know nothing about.

I read every post in this thread on a daily basis - mainly to stop you being ****s to each other. And yes, my description was accurate.

Just quote me next time if you have an issue with my vocab. Thanks xx

We also need to remember that we've got Sarr coming in the summer, so maybe the Amrabat loan will make sense to cover til then?
As I said before, the main thing in this window is to clear as much out as we can, while there's seemingly interest from desperate clubs.

Yeah, I'd love to sign a striker as the fact we only have Kane worries me but it's January and there aren't many decent options available.

Well yeah as long as Amrabat comes in as a loan and option to buy only. I agree
