anyone think even if we do sign a striker this window we need some kind of creative spark in the side? Though i have high hopes for Holtby so maybe best we dont stunt his growth

After his first one or two performances in which I thought he could be that creative spark, he did flatter to deceive bit- no fault of his own perhaps seeing as it was 'in at the deep end' and a 'new club' etc. However after watching him closely for Germany U21's I became excited again-he is a very clever footballer but also tremendously hardworking and passionate and I think he will have a lot to offer this season along with Gylfi, who improved dramatically, if given a chance.

And because they still haven't paid up for Modric and are trying to offer us a left-back instead, I'm hoping Levy has told them £120 million in one single installment!!!

But it's not like they aren't paying us, they are just paying us monthly as agreed. To be honest I'd rather have Coantrao than the £12M, but I don't think he will cost that much.

They still can't have Bale though.

If you mean like a rollercoaster that get's to the top of a very big climb and just before the drop they discover a mechanical fault and have to bring it back down slowly, then yes.

Hoping for more this window, not least because after eight years on the waiting list I've just got my hands on a season ticket and don't want to have to curse Dempsey 89 minutes out of every 90.

Neville for half a mill could have proven a great deal if he could have worked with Walker in getting his game together. Just think how good Walkers pace and energy could be if it was combined with a football brain, the defensive reading and the attacking vision

To be fair Neville wouldn't of been too bad. Bit like most of Harry's signing tho. They were ''yeah decent'''....just not really sexy! Brad,Parker,Neville potentially. Can't remember the others. Only one I ever thought 'yeah do it,do it!!' was Suarez! And apparently they couldn't decide or chose not to.

Presumably we've given each other until that date to get our proverbial ducks in the metaphorical row.

After that date, they/he can talk with others.

Unfortunately my season ticket is in the Paxton, rather than the Park Lane where I spent last season as and when I could get a ticket. Thus the cheering, well at least the blaspeheming, will have to be curtailed somewhat...

On a serious note, I only ever cheer the team when inside WHL

Striker - definitely.
Left Back - only if Ekotto is jumping/being pushed.
Another AM/WF - not really required in my opinion, unless Lennon or Townsend are off.

Maybe a little depth at CB given Vertonghen's injury and Gallas having gone. Potentially just a youngster to step into Caulker's role as he steps up for Gallas.
Maybe a young CM for depth if Parker, Hudd and Livermore leave.
Few Baldini identified youngsters with promise.
