Hmmm. Not really the point fella.

There has been zero chatter about Bale going anywhere, with more signs pointing to him staying.

We have been linked EARLY with a number of strikers. The price still has to be right, we will not be held to ransom - and thank God it's a businessman running our business not just a fan.

We have also spent 24 million on quality players that should challenge/be in our first team.

I'm genuinely excited. And that's without a striker signing.

Feels like I've not seen you post for a long time Stoof, makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

I'm not nervous because I've seen so many transfer windows where we start off with great hopes and reasonable (given the obvious needs) expectations only to be disappointed at the end of a window

We have seen this so long it's hardly surprising many are nervous, last summer we supposedly had Moutinho in the bag, last Jan Leandro was supposedly done, a few years back we were expecting strong reinforcements to help us with a CL campaign and it never happened, every time we have spent to strengthen it's been on the back of selling quality players that never got replaced.

Will this summer prove any better ? Who knows but there's no point getting over excited or overly down about it, every time you tend to build up hope that we might end up with a strong, well balanced team with a bit of depth of quality we have tended to take a step or two forward and at the same time take a step or two back

We live in hope as we are Spurs fans but hope is a bit different than being confident and for many that understandable lack of confidence makes them nervous, I really don't see why anyone would think that strange, it's not as if we have seen any great transfer windows in recent years to allay that

They wouldn't, they'd just hate on Murdoch and pretend they boycott Sky, Times, Sun, WSJ when they can't afford Sky and can't read papers

Want to see Soldado news confirmed today..... makes it more likely that I'd see him, Paulinho & Chadli line up against MK Dons next Wednesday!!

In fairness I don't think he trusted Harry with his money....Philip fuckin Neville!

And he should of been trying to convince Modric & vdv to stay! More so Modric.

Neville for half a mill could have proven a great deal if he could have worked with Walker in getting his game together. Just think how good Walkers pace and energy could be if it was combined with a football brain, the defensive reading and the attacking vision

I think our Summer transfer windows have generally been fairly awesome. The calibre of players we've signed has improved year on year. But that's down to opinion I suppose - but let's not go there.

My comment as to finding it strange - is because this window does not feel like the others. It just doesn't. I've not thought at any stage that Bale is going anywhere. And the links seem solid - the info is coming from good sources - for incomings.

So especially given the recent selling sagas, I find it odd that in the absence of one of those people aren't more on the side of excited given Chadders and Paul as well.

anyone think even if we do sign a striker this window we need some kind of creative spark in the side? Though i have high hopes for Holtby so maybe best we dont stunt his growth

Awesome would be Soldado, & Bernard signing for the mighty Spurs. With Bale signing a new contract and declaring his undying love for Tottenham Hotspur and he wants to stay forever and ever.........it will not be awesome without a 20 goal striker in my most humble of opinion.

They've already started the "Bale to sign new Spurs deal but will be free to join Madrid next summer" headlines lol wankers, absolutely relentless.

We've also already got the Star with "Bale in talks with Spurs... To tell Levy to keep his word and let him leave".

Would be nice, but it isn't a necessity in the same way a striker is. If we don't sign a striker we will struggle. Simples.

Another exciting creative (Bernard, Lamela, Sanchez etc) would be amazing, but we do at least have options in Bale, Lennon, Siggy, Chadli, Holtby, even Paulinho, perhaps Townsend.
