How many of these random 3rd tier Spanish sources told us Ilaix was all done a couple of days ago? Plus Ally G just said it's dependent on us shifting Doherty AND Aurier. Probably best to heavily doubt this one
Perhaps things have picked up with Aurier and/or Doherty?

That article from Ally Gold is poor imo, spinning a negative towards the club. The sissoko part as a prime example. Anyway surely sissoko leaving has opened up a spot for a CM

If he still acts as the clubs "mouth piece" in the media. He's probably just reporting on what's is inevitably coming in the next 48 hours.

Know nothing on Emerson and haven't seen him play at all but if we were able to move on these two and replace him with Emerson it would be great for the rebuild.

Two young right backs battling it out and rotating over a player that's not rated and settled with another player with less than a year left on his deal.

Can we for a minute stop to consider that Fab and Nuno and co have only had a few months to work with the squad? Perhaps their requirements have changed as they get to know the squad? Perhaps they see more potential working with the team every single day than we do from our computers? Perhaps they are better placed to know what we need?
Say what you want about it only being three games but we are the only team to not concede and we have played the premier league champions with a defence that we were terrified of having. We have also kept them away from their first choice of striker. We also obtained a new commitment from another key player.
I’m not dissimilar in the sense that I would love a shiny new signing, but I for one will get excited about the season regardless and back in nuno and fab. If they think it’s worth investing great, if they would rather save their money - also great. Either way I feel like the future is very bright.
(cue the negative ratings, but just my opinion)

None of the players your making a comparison with rely on pace, his pace wont last and when its gone can you see him being one of those players who can move to midfield and spray passes about? no nor me. so i recon Spud is right.
Which is what I said, his speed and explosiveness will be less than before. But it will not be reduced by much the first 3 years. Linford Christie won gold in Olympics and Worlds at the age of 32 and 33, but Traore will loose all his pace by the age of 29....? Not likely, unless he has a bad hamstring tear. So yes, he will be slower at 31, but still faster than most defenders. And his dribbling skills is not only dependant on his speed, but also his power and balance. These skills will NOT be reduced by the age of 31. And at 31, he will have spent 5 years (hopefully) at our club
