...no it doesn't
It does. He says he’d be just as surprised if that wasn’t all we got in.

AKA. He doesn’t expect more than those 2.

I understand the confusion as I had to read it several times to digest. Kind of please I’m not the only one that is confused as seriously started questioning my reading abilities

"I'd be surprised if that wasn't all we get in" literally means the opposite to "I'd be surprised if that was all we get in"
Meaning it would be a surprise to him if we only get those two in

Edit Trix has said I'm wrong so apologies.

Would have been more succinct saying "I'd not be surprised if that's all we brought in".

You've got to think at this stage there's going to have to be some serious movement very soon on outgoings based on Trix's info there.

For those who aren't aware, though, there are two deadline days this window (unless things have changed in the last week) - the headline "transfer deadline day" this window is October 6th, however, there is a domestic-only window up until October 16th for permanent and loan signings between English clubs, including both Premier League and EFL.

EDIT: 1st one is October 5th, not 6th
Does this allow movement between Premier League clubs? Or is it just lower league and PL?

Not sure if people are just hoping he means more than those 2 and are therefore just pushing that angle. However the words Trix has used means that he doesn’t expect more than those 2.

If he wrote “I’d be surprised if that WAS all we got in” then you are right.

But he wrote “WASNT” rather than “WAS”

Do we know that? How do we know that. I’m only asking as I’d like to know, rather than being aggy

Because no one would try to express it in such a convoluted way.

It's like the silly argument about double negatives - No one ever said " I didn't do nothing" and meant they did do something, although some people try to argue that that's what it actually means. No, it doesn't. It's just a silly grammatical pedantry to try to treat language as though it were arithmetic.

He quite clearly means he'd be surprised if that's all we brought in.

And if he doesn't, and if I'm wrong, his English is far worse than I thought!

FWIW I'm hearing the same as VY regarding Skrinier.

I'd also be surprised if a striker isn't done this window, although I'd be just as surprised if that wasn't all we get in.
Many thanks for these good tidings.

Given this, if it comes to fruition as you and VY suggests, would make for an excellent window (and somewhat of a squad overhaul not seen since Elvis and the Beatles) I think I’m just going to relax and see what happens by this time next week.

Until JJ starts swinging poo that is ?

Mate.....If you are going to claim any contacts at any club ( not that i dont believe you) run it past @Rob or @Archibald&Crooks first to post in here.
You dont wanna lose access now buddy.
Already had chat with A&C on it... I'd posted long ago about it in the Deeney thread. Was just making comment in here in reference to someone saying they were glad the Deeney rumour was dead.

If I misinterpreted Trix I apologise. First thing in the morning, half asleep etc. I'd be delighted if Skriniar and ST was all we did now. Anything more is a bonus.
