The midget gems at Barca have managed to score again (Pedro and Messi), the jealousy.
Wouldn't take them here though. Can't lead the line, or something.

If Levy now hates Harry, why would he give him a present like this. He'd rather he die a quick death with the average forwards we already have. Hell, if I were Levy, I would sale Keane and Pavs and not replace them and tell Harry to fuck off. We won't get relegated and he can then get a new manager for his failure. We're grasping at straws with Llorente. I've already put a little wager on Harry being the next manager out.

and another 1, 37 for messi this season .... more than our strikers will score altogether this season, grrr.
1 hour ago everyone was over the moon about singing Benzema/ Llorente. I go have dinner, come back and suddenly it's suicide again. The odds of us signing either was slim to none. More likely to wake up and find Kelly Brook noshing you off. Just don't get your hopes up and wait till Tuesday.

But not if they were playing in La Liga.
There's a thread in General Football on La Liga mate. Don't clog up the already clogged up ITK thread.
Although this Llorente business may seem unlikely, it may make more sense than many other targets this window.
Suarez -obviously very talented and would probably score many goals for Liverpool. But it sounds like Harry wasn't convinced he was what we needed, and by all accounts Liverpool went a bit silly with the price.
Carroll - reportedly Harry's No.1 choice. But at the prices quoted, a smidgen too expensive. And as a few have mentioned, some doubts he can do the bizz long term at the top level. Plus his very cloudy discpilnary record.
Hulk - potentially very good. But doubts about the quality of the teams he plays against. And at the prices quoted, would perhaps be too much of a risk for a player, who the way I am reading things, isn't quite the type of player that Harry wants.
Torres - Hmmmm. Read below, but add 30-40m and double the wages!!
Benzema - good player. not had the greatest of times at Real, but undoubtedly talented. Transfer fee not much of a problem, but silly wages, which as Harry has mentioned is a stumbling block with big players who are already on such deals.
Now Llorente - would undoubtedly command a hefty transfer fee, but it is clear that we have a hefty budget. Similar in style to Carroll, but arguably on a different level. Proven in a strong European league, and has managed to get himself into a very strong Spanish national team. Now the key here is that, although he could get an excellent wage deal at Real Madrid, he is unlikely to be on astronomical wages now. Whichs put him in a much more gettable category than the Eto'o's and the Torres' in the world. And if Real Madrid have changed their mind, this looks like a very viable target. Big IF mind.
Sounds like a more realistic option if that is teh case. Not the best source I'll grant you, but the only thing I could find: FM says he's on £27,500 a week atm.

You might need to factor in the past gulf between Spanish income tax for footballers and the rates here. Not the best source I'll grant you, but the only thing I could find: FM says he's on £27,500 a week atm.
And not another solid source, but wikipedia says the latest deal that Llorente signed sees his contract finishing in June 2011.
Well...?
