I’m not going to call him a POS, I’ve never got personal about him, however I do agree he needs to go. I can see us having the same discussions in 5 years, 10 years time. I doubt it will ever change at this point. However this isn’t the thread for this discussion.

No manager should realistically arrive with the expectation that we'd be able to sign an up and coming player from Chelsea. Gallagher might be possible, but deals between us are very rare.

I think the difference now is that Todd Boehly owns and (despite saying he isn't doing the transfers) running Chelsea. Boehly does not care about the past between Chelsea/Spurs at all. To him not selling to us or anyone else because of history is just simply turning down good money.

Makes me think that as long as he is heavily involved there is a window where we can do business with them even if it does makes us all feel disgusting for doing it.

Well, technically, Madders replaced Eriksen and it was so prompt that Eriksen only left the country, died, come back to life, returned to the country and changed clubs in the country he returned to.

So, by the time we’ve replaced Kane, there’ll be been reincarnation and reverse aging so we will probably replace him with Jimmy Greaves
