Wow, me there's some spite floating around today. Levy this, Levy that. He certainly gets people at it doesn't he?

IMO It isn't about Levy not spunking cash and doing a Leeds and it isn't ignoring the massive amount of good he's done if you don't like, or are frustrated by his penchant for the countdown clock. I've no problem with him apart from that. It annoys me. There. I've said it :cautious:

Personally glad Damaio didn't get much time last night, as a few silky touches and efforts here and there might have alerted a few clubs with deeper pockets.

If Bale and family don't fancy moving with a young baby then we'd better start praying that Mrs Bale gets pregnant again soon. And if Gareth can't step up to the plate and deliver the goods then someone on here is going to have to....

John Terry on a free has never made more sense.

Yeah signing Adebayor, Lloris, Vertonghen, Dembele, Sigurdsson, Dempsey and Holtby in one season is f**king shite. Curse you Levy for adding quality additions to our squad, finding us a young manager who could make us a title contender, all whilst balancing our books and leaving us is with one of the most sustainable models in the PL. Why don't you f**k off and take our World Class training centre and new stadium plans with you.

Almost as one eyed as the original post

That was then... this is now. For years now he has failed to take the club to the next level by failing to bring in the players we need. And he's made so many enemies and created so much bad blood...
I say Levy's best years are behind him. Time for a change

He in effect owns the club so who would you suggest buys the club as that is the only way Levy is likely to be leaving.

I can see flaws in the Levy technique, but I cant disagree with his motives.

He has done a special job for us

More than a Bernard we need Paulinho type of player - box to box midfielder who can score & assist.
Last season - 7 goals & 7 assists from 23 games.
This season aleady has scored 3 goals across 3 competition.

But getting him from Sao Paulo would be a tall order.

Anywa, I wouldnt say no to Bernard either :D

I'd choose Little Danny's long lost twin brother 'Big Danny' aka Buck Bigwood

He's not called that because he's any taller, he's got a twelve inch cock and has made his fortune in porn. I'm told he operates the same way as Little Danny but because he's a member of the 'foot club' he doesn't have the same complexes and need to appear 'big' by being a tough negotiator.

The only downside is a possible lawsuit being brought by a woman in Stockport , who, after a casual encounter, now walks bow legged and has been unable to sit down comfortably for two years.

To keep our model sustainable there has be flaws to Levy's technique, as he needs to keep spending down whilst bringing in players without risking too much. I think it is fairly clear that guy is far from perfect but there probably isn't a better chairman around.

Looking at the Goat's latest info, if we sell Huddlestone, Livermore and Parker then that's quite a big gap in our squad.

If we're going to play 4-3-3 then our midfield three will be a Defensive midfielder and two central midfielders, one of whom is presumably a bit more of an advanced player.

So that would leave us:

DM: Sandro
CM: Dembele/Holtby
AM: Siggy?

I'm not actually sure which of those positions Holtby fits into, and I also think Siggy may be used more as a forward than a midfielder, but either way we look a bit light.

We'll definitely need a defensive midfielder and depending on how Holtby and Siggy are going to be used, we might need two further central midfielders. Presumably that's the thinking behind looking at Paulinho.

If we ship out as many midfielders as the goat says, i really hope that we bring in an actual defensive midfielder as cover for Sandro. For me, holding mid in one of the most important roles on the pitch. It is where a lot of opposition attacks should end and a lot of our counter attacks should begin.

I can only assume the people bashing Levy have a) been only following Spurs for a short period, b) have no memories of the 90s

Perhaps AVB is ready to give Carroll his chance ?

I think Damiao did great for the 15 minutes he got. For the Bra second goal he held up the England line so Paulhino get the free space to score. He had a couple of runs which almost resulted him to get free and as said occupied the the England cb.
That's oe of the things we need our shiny new cf to do, stop the opposing cb's from being able to roam forward or drift out wide to double up on our wingers, the other obvious thing is put the ball in the bnacxk of the net.

Truth is all 3 Hudd, Livermore & Parker are not good enough at CM role for the way AVB wants to play.
AVB needs his central midfielders not only be mobile enough & tackle but also have the ability to go forward & create something. Sandro improved his forward play this season, but this trio were good at one & liability at other and in Livermore case sadly he was not doing both.

AVB last season wanted Moutinho ,a true box to box CM- I guess we will go after someone like him. But its a dificult position to fill as there is not such players around, espcially at the price we are willing to play.

I would certainly look at Paulinho (Sao Paulo), Borja Valero (Florentina). Mccarthy(Wigan) is also quite under rated at that position.

Quite easy getting him away from Sao Paulo. Getting him from Corinthians might be tough though.

I worry about Bernard, he's so small.. great technique, the real breakout star of a strong Atletico Mineiro side last season, but not sure how he can compete outside of that team. Didn't watch the game last night.

Levy is becoming a complete liability for the club. He gets very little done and the ill-will sown by him will come back to haunt the club for many a long year. Get rid of Levy ASAP.
So much for the comedy, now lets have some ITK!
