All I'm seeing is personal abuse and hatred towards a player we gave a contract to and has performed for us.

Well...one of those things are true.
I don't like it because there is a sinister undercurrent to it that rears its head on occassion and you had to delete the other day.

That's not even funny; it's just stupid.

A footballer - with a ropey reputation for getting contracts and then putting his feet up - wants a guarantee from a club that they will sign him after a loan, when he hasn't even pulled the shirt on or put one foot on the pitch in anger??

Yeah, perfectly reasonable.

@Archibald&Crooks Ok, that's the last I'll say on it.

I don't think that's possible. He's not allowed to negotiate beyond the end of his contract till January (with a team abroad) or June (with an English team).

They have to agree a permanent deal now to have any control over what Ade does after next season.

I'd assume it's no different to us putting a permanent free transfer option on the end of the loan. I'm sure we would not have any problems with Villa offering him a free transfer for next summer at this stage, whereas if it was a contract rebel we would report them. Bit like 'tapping up' these days, we are happy for Ade, Vlad, etc.. to discuss terms with clubs before they even contact us, but if Utd spoke to Kane or Lloris there would be hell to pay.

It wouldn't be unlike football teams to bend the rules in such a case.

Did it ever occur to anyone that the delay might be from our side? Maybe we thought we were just about to sign Berahino and then as that stalled we put the brakes on Ade leaving.

I'm really not sweating if about Ade. He is odds on to go and if he stays we won't have to worry about this next summer. Soldado is the one I would rather see move tbh as this summer we can probably get much better money for his than next summer.

Even as I say that it sounds ridiculous tbf.

Weren't Arsenal fans pissed off because he left them for the money, rather than being a nightmare we now know him as? City fans probably had more reason to warn us of his attitude...

Many of us were desperate not to sign Barndoor on a long, lucrative deal because the outcome was unlikely to be different from all the other times he signed a long, lucrative contract.

Tapping up is when a player speaks to another club without his clubs permission. If we have said to some of our players that they are free to speak to other clubs to find a move they can speak to whoever they want. If we have not said so they can't. Although their agents can, but they can't make deals.

I am struggling to understand why people are amazed by the delay. If you were the chairman of a club whose player we had an interest in and you saw that we had already sold both Ade and Bobby, would you not up the fee as you could smell the desperation?

At the moment, Levy has the position (albeit quite a transparent one) that as long as Ade and Bobby are still ours, they could be brought back in from the cold so we will not be held to ransom on incomings.

They were pissed before that. He had one good season then was demanding the same wages that Henry got. Think that's when Wenger decided he would be sold.

I hoping he remembers I sided with him when I put none verified ITK on here later. Don't hate the player, hate the game.

@Archibald&Crooks, can I get you a coffee? Suck you off? You let me know pet.
Your name's already got you in the door, mate tbf. You'll be getting a gimp suit through the post soon I suspect...a size too small. He likes them extra tight on you... ... ... so I've heard. :cautious:

Logic and reason, this is probably the most plausible post made on the subject today.

Who really cares when the announcement is made? As long as he fucks off and we get a younger and more determined squad addition we should all feel as if Levy sucked us all off personally, so be patient and happy peeps Ade will be gone before the window closes.

There's no situation I can imagine that wouldn't be made detrementally worse by Daniel Levy sucking me off.

"Hey, doc, bad news, your wife. She's dead."

"What? Oh God no... Daniel... Daniel what are you doing. I do not want this. Daniel please, no! Somebody stop him!"

Why are we letting Adebayors situation effect our Incomings? Why haven't we signed our replacement strikers/forwards already? This is shambolic planning of the highest order. Every club in the world knows we want rid of Adebayor and Soldado. What difference should it make in getting players in. None.
I am staggered that we go into one of the biggest games of the season away to Man Utd with ONE striker. As well as a gigantic big hole where a new defensive midfielder should be. It really is comical.

I'm not really interested in the new signings,

I'm just really enjoying all the @spursofficial 3rd kit behind the scenes updates.
