I'm a bit surprised that there don't seem to be any experienced defenders that we could pick up on the cheap. West Brom just picked up Lugano on a free.

When you are a team sitting deep and just defending, your range of options increases, if you want to play a higher line and squeeze the opposition like AVB, you are looking at a much narrower talent pool.

If AVB believes Livermore's future at the club is as a CB then all we can and SHOULD do is back both AVB and Livermore rather than accepting defeat every time Livermore plays at CB!

None of our previous managers has had free card to do whatever questionable looking decisions without there being questions raised and rightly so. If it works, fine, he'll get less questions on next weird looking decision, if it doesn't he'll get slated for it and rightly so.
