Jack Grealish, as correctly stated by GF. has gone absolutely BALLISTIC!!! The owners have gone back on their word! He is livid!!!

We have said if deal not done now, we will not deal again. He is massively PISSED!

He has made his feelings known to Steve Bruce. Clubs can’t treat players like slaves

That is full Bearhino now.

Is this not where football has a massive issue, because clubs reach out to players before agreeing fees with their existing clubs???

Ah, a gentleman's agreement. Not worth the paper it's written on.

It'll be worse for Grealish compared to most who get denied a move they thought was agreed. Because he's not only missing out on moving to a better league, but to a team in the top 4 and have Cl football with a coach who gives young players a proper chance and develops them well.

Frankly this is the dream move of dreams moves for a guy like Grealish and the Villa owners have ruined it for him.

Slaves hahaha. The kid is earning thousands and they stuck by him through his injuries last season and when he was acting like a big kid.

I believe it was the previous owners that said Grealish could go for £25m, not the guys that are now in charge. It would appear they have a different point of view.

If Grealish hands in a transfer request, he forfeits any loyalty payments due to him in his contract. If Herc etc. are correct then I would expect him to do that, but I'm sure as a Villa fan as well it's something he's not wanted to do.

Don't blame the kid, has been exemplary during the whole process, assuming the £25m promise was legit.
Agreed he has handled all this extremely well. Last game at Hull definitely looked like a goodbye at the end from and to fans/players and Bruce. £25m is about right top end for him anyway owners just want that TR to point at as the reason imo :)

Except the new owners asked Levy not to push the Grealish move while the takeover was ongoing. Which implies they were fine with a £25m deal for Grealish, they just didn't want it occurring while the club was in flux.

Considering there are 3 or 4 different sources reporting they've gone back on their word, I think it's safe to assume they're not all making that mistake. The promise must have come from the new owners.

At the end of the day you cant blame the lad tbh theres way too many pros from his perspective to make this move to Spurs. If i was in his position i would be considering a transfer request.

Champions League club in London. Pochettino as your coach is the biggest pull for a player like Grealish especially at his age 22, he most definitely has huge potential and playing alongside the likes of Kane Alli Eriksen Son you can only get better.

I can see this deal happening still but im just annoyed its taken this long. I'm sure behind the scenes were working on a second signing.

Unfortunately I can't see it changing anything. If it's true that the chairman has said he's not for sale then i can't imagine that he'll be like okay sure Jack you're right I'll help you pack your bags.

Can't help but feel for the lad if it all falls through now. He has his heart set on us and I for one would like to see him wear the shirt and show us what he can offer. Fingers crossed his meltdown gets him further than our meltdown on here yesterday got us!

And are now forbidding him from moving to a new club, despite Spurs coming up with the magic, prearranged number. Sounds like indentured servitude to me.

Fair play to him for not venting it on social media to try and force the move yet... the club may be messing him about but no point bashing the club in front of the fans that have supported him through his previous troubles (vomit gate etc) Maybe he is the sort of loyal respectful player that would fit in well with Kane etc.
