I know most are happy with this but I'm a little worried this could all be start of the spin and by the end of the window we are all told that selling him was the right thing to do because of him becoming a disruptive influence blah blah blah.

Thanks Herc! This makes sense to me. Realistically, the stadium naming rights is going to be a long-term driver of major incoming $$. Last year as the firm struggled, it probably hurt us a bit in terms of trying to extract maximum value. It can't hurt to bring in exciting players, announce a new Son deal, etc. and then try to maximize the $ from finalizing the name...

This is awesome to read, can't wait to see these 4 holding up the shirt. I guess I'm just a little unclear on the construction of this message. The forward DOES depend on outs but we won't focus heavily on outs until after?

Of those 4 Romero will start, Tomiyasu should start, Gollini won't start (season 1) and really not sure whether Gil is being signed as an immediate starter or rotation with the potential to be a future star (we all know if it was Poch we wouldn't see him start til 2028). That makes us maybe 2 starters better than last season. If Tomiyasu is being signed as an RB we still need a CB (unless Toby can find his legs again and doesn't leave) or a RB if Tomiyasu is being signed as a CB. We also ideally need a striker (2 if Kane goes) and a CM unless Skipp is going to be as good in the prem as he was in the championship.

Happy with the potential signings but still more areas to address to have a hope of top 4 imo

The prospect of Nile John is possibly giving us second thoughts on midfielder addition. Along with PEH, Skipp, GLC, Tangy, our priorities are elsewhere. If we release a spot like Sissoko, then quite possible. If we sell say Winks, Nile will step up in the squad (bench) places. NES does not want to suffocate his chances. Let’s see how it works out.

As much as I applaud the idea of bringing more youth through, we struggled a lot with chance creation last season and have done in general since Eriksen left.

Obviously we may employ a different system and rely more on full backs/wing backs to create this season, but we definitely look a little light at right back if that's the case, otherwise we're reliant on the usual suspects to create from midfield.

Exactly. We need to rid ourselves of entitled assholes that try and rest on their (Real Madrid in the Champions League) laurels. I want players desperate for trophies, ones that absolutely despise losing. Winks just strikes me as a guy who thinks he should be playing week-in, week-out, despite the success of the team and the fact that when he plays we are more often than not overran in midfield and he offers little substance. He’s like our own Mark Noble.
