Not to be a stickler...but age isn't measured in miles.

it is if you are a footballer.. more age = less miles

in my case i am averaging 0.2 miles a game

Chadli and Mason just did not seem up for it last season. I would rather pin my hope's on the unknown. Kane came good, and Alli last season. Time for another gem to shine..

Kane came good season before last and Alli was always very highly rated before we signed him. But i take your point.

Putting offers for players on the last day of the transfer window is bluff and bluster from the club to make the fans think we have ambition.

We needed more creativity and imo we have not addressed that need.

Making John McDermott our DoF was a big sign we'd follow the Winks/Onomah/Edwards/2CV route

You know as well as I do that a decent Attacking Midfielder, such as Isco or the several others mentioned over the past weeks, would have provided much needed competition and respite for Eriksen.

I love Eriksen but if he's off his game we're nowhere near as fluid.

We spend all year stating how it will be nice to have a quiet window where we only bring in a couple of players and let the TEAM grow together rather than a mass influx of players.....

Then deadline day gets closer and a lot of people don't have the balls to stick by their word and actually stick with what we have!!

We have made 3 signings who could all be regarded as guaranteed starters by this time next year (just like Ali....he was seen as work in progress for a few years, fast forward 3 months and he's a starter!)

Let's just see how it pans out! It's all a gamble even if you go and spend £300 mil
