of all the players that Soton have sold this summer (or about to sell), is MS rated the highest by the fans? Or does that distinction go to Lallana, or other?
This is a good question.
I really don't get that all their players are suddenly great. Rodgers believes so-let's hope he's wrong!

From what I gather, most of them ratee Scheiderlin as the most important to their success last year, I don't know if that necessarily means most talented though.

Shaw was the only guy in their team I really can say I noticed. Maybe Cork a bit.
Weird window for me-we are bidding double figure millions for players I haven't noticed or know much about.

People noticed Shaw because of the hype. Not saying he isn't good, he's fantastic for his age, hence the hype, but he wasn't their standout performer. They had a combination of very good performers, nobody in the first XI being a weak player. Schneiderlin, Lallana and Rodriguez were all particularly good. If one of those 3 were missing you certainly noticed.

fits with the news that Taider is joining tomorrow and their other frantic transfer activity

It's also close to other ITK bits where MS will come after the first match for the Soho board to save face. Not quite this week, but only a week off

I am really, really hoping that it was the manager that turned these guys into noticeable!!
Shaw wasn't about the hype-this guy is the bees knees. I feel the same way about him as I did Bale and -sorry-Walcott.

I've not been that impressed by lallana or lambert. Good players yes but not get off my seat good, Just working the system they played in very well. Shaw is very good and with pace. But MS stood out for me, he reminds me of Paul scholes in many ways. Not for his goal scoring but because of his movement. He'd pass, then move into a supporting position and be looking for runners. More often than not he'd receive the ball again and play a one touch pass and set somebody away. Very intelligent player. Great technique, great vision and great defensively. Simple play in many ways but so few players can do it well. Hope we get him.

If we could get bony that would be immense! Send them naughton and Kane on loan plus 10m! That would do it! Chadli needed for Schneiderlin!!

Seems this is mostly opinion but the last part about Chadli may not be
Like Gards' way of thinking. Those two - along with moustachio - would make for a mind-blasting transfer window imo.

Snap J-Rod up in Jan and it's all guns blazing.

Great news from GARDS. Also interesting to hear that most think MS is the pick of the Soton litter. As for Bony... would be nice, but seriously not a priority, compared to building the spine of our team with, Lloris (new contract), Verts (new contract), Ben Davies, MS and MM. Pooch has his priorities straight. Make us balanced and very hard to score against.

Maybe Levy decided to consult Poch instead this time round :p

I reckon Bony will go Liverpool (but he'd be second choice). Musacchio, Schneiderlin and Bony. No chance IMO. Musacchio and Schneiderlin I think will happen.
