It's fair to say we haven't seen the best of Chadli. But he has all the attributes to be a great footballer. I'd like to see him given a chance and hope he improves under Pochs style of play.

I don't mind Bony, think he's very good in the air etc...but I'm happy with our forward situation. Ade, Soldado and Kane is a good variety and offers a nice blend of qualities.

So he wouldn't be a priority for me but certainly wouldn't complain if we got him.

Really hope we put all our effort into getting Musacchio and Schneiderlin done. That would complete things for me....icing on the cake with Jan signing his new deal.

Soldado's had a pretty good pre-season and although I am not totally convinced, we need to try and make it work with him. As much as I'd love for us to sign someone powerful and consistent like Bony, a club like ours cannot afford to write off a 26m investment. Especially as he is now 29.

Know what you mean. Seems odd to get rid of him after only one sporadic season. I saw enough in him to feel that we should at the least give the guy until January. If he's still iffy then, by all means loan the guy out. But if we are rid of him this summer, I can only think that Pooch sees that left side being filled by Lennon, Townsend and Ericksen (in a pinch).

So there could be truth in Chadli being involved in the MS deal...

I hope not - he didn't set the world alight in his debut season for us but i saw glimpses of a very good player in him! Certainly has all the attributes to do well for us - surely let Poch work his magic with him and a few others then Evaluate in Jan?

Edit - Breezer you stole my chance to get positive agree rep - git!

It leaves us screwed for options on the left though.

It really depends. Townsend has looked generally good on the left and Eriksen has been played on the left. Honestly, I'm not sure if the starting position of the '3' behind the striker really means much with how much they have been switching as matches progress.

Would think so mate. Think all the new signings deserve to prove their worth this season but depends on Poch I guess. Will role with his judgement but I certainly agree with the sentiment.

Lennon is not a left winger.......... Please please please everyone understand this.

Someone said they thought Bony would be staying at Swansea and Gards responded with:

"I hope not! It is possible but we won't pay 19m! Players would have to go other way!"

Suggests we're interested.

Interesting. When someone reminded Gards that Daws was one of our defenders, he responded:

Gards ‏@Gards44 Protected Tweets 20m
@georgebann Christ! Forgot about him! Well remembered!

But when he was also reminded about Kaboul, he merely replied with:

Gards ‏@Gards44 Protected Tweets
@AvidYid @georgebann hmm.....
I wonder how much that reported mini spat poch and kabs had (ignore/disrespecting poch's instructions against Toronto was it??) has to do with him possibly being moved on. Was only gonna be one outcome from that if it happened as described.

Trouble is with Chadli is we only see flashes. He needs to do more of what he's capable of doing.

However I can definitely see a player in there and he's one to keep hold of with Pochettino in charge for sure. We aren't desperate for a left winger imo because Chadli is good enough and Eriksen can slot in there easily as part of a 4-2-3-1.

To sell him would be wrong as without him we would be light there.

People noticed Shaw because of the hype. Not saying he isn't good, he's fantastic for his age, hence the hype, but he wasn't their standout performer. They had a combination of very good performers, nobody in the first XI being a weak player. Schneiderlin, Lallana and Rodriguez were all particularly good. If one of those 3 were missing you certainly noticed.

Yeah, I noticed Shaw because the announcers would never stop fellating him. Even when he was putting in a bad performance.

He's only striker that's been linked with us - tenuously or otherwise - that I've been excited about. Just bung them a couple of players and a few quid and we're laughing.

It might be payment terms that are tough rather than the fee

Monk: 15 in one go please Daniel

Daniel: hold on Gary, what about 5 million dollar spread over 10 years

Monk: 15

Daniel: 5 over 10

Monk: ok

Daniel: thanks Gary, but you've been Levyed

Not that tough lol

We don't need Bony.

Adebayor is a class above and if he replaced Soldado we'd be well and truly fucked in February.

Just seems pointless giving them Naughton to sign a player we don't even need because we can't go into a long hard season with only one right back.
