We’ll sell him, spend the money just about and leave ourselves criminally short in one or two areas as per usual. Only way we progress is by change at the top now it’s just so obvious.

So if nobody is prepared to pay what Levy wants, Where does that leave us? We're going to build a new team around our talisman player (...who just happens to not want to be here)?

As said earlier maybe Kane will act differently than other players who have been priced out of a move, but it's just prolonging the inevitable if he truly wants to leave.

Kane is a professional. If a move didn't materialise he'd still give his all IMO. Even the likes of Rooney and Gerrard considered leaving their clubs at times but stayed and did well.

All he wants is for the club to show some ambition and give him a platform to succeed. Him being up front with Levy about it is probably a good thing. Now Levy has some big decisions to make.

Hopefully we can show some promise at the end of the season once he's back playing, enough to give a bit of hope for next season.

Jose wants Osimhen as CF option/rotation. Third time I've heard this now, from 3 different sources.

I want him too. I'm just not sure why anyone would join us right now.

We're on the back of basically awful form, and it's easy to be downbeat. Hopefully things perk up, but that guy looks amazing and I imagine there will be other suitors...many of who will have the (likely) advantage of being in the CL

I know we're all on a downer right now, but I'm pretty sure any player at Lille would happily come and play for Spurs and Jose Mourinho. London, PL and a bumper paycheck.

In the absence of other offers, yeah. But I imagine others will be interested

Jesus. You can't blame him really
Course you can, if he stopped getting injured during the important parts of the season maybe he could have a greater say in football matches? I mean, this is an extreme view, but modicum of truth to it ....

I hate to say it but this totally makes sense.
For Kane he is 26 and approaching his peak years - so timing seems impeccable.
For Lloris he is a world cup winner and has probably missed the boat winning the CL - after the Euros ready for his last big pay day.
For the club - we cannot "afford" what it would take to rebuild the squad without the CL money.
For the team - this would be the final break up of the team that Poch built having already allowed Walker, Rose, Dembele, Wanyama and Eriksen leave and time with the decline in Vertonghen - the band is splitting up.
My question would be then not if Kane leaves but to whom and for how much and then if Dele and Sonny would want to jump ship too.
For the manager - this would allow him to "build" his first team for a while and with the cash he would need to do so and one suspects this may be one of his last chances to do so at a club that has profile on the continent.
If the above is the case Mr Mourinho probably would think this would be the time to ask Mr Campos to oversee the overhaul in playing staff.

Now might be a good time to insert oneself into a time capsule, not to be opened for at least 3 years.

I predict a ton more pain before anything improves.

Its tragic :(

It’s a shame about Kane, if we matched his ambition he could have had a good crack at beating Greaves’ record. Unfortunately, Levy isn’t spending any money anytime soon so what else is Kane supposed to do? Let’s take the world record fee and get a decent sporting director to spend it wisely and start all over again. It hurts that we came so close and some great players never won a trophy for us but it might be time to start a new project. Cheers Harry, you’ll always be a Spurs legend.

I suspect his latest injury as made him realise he’s got limited time left in football and wants to achieve all he can in the next 5 years.

Harry Kane has spoken to DL, after the THST release. He is itching to be allowed to leave. Not sure DL will allow that. Hugo wants MLS.

No surprise at all. The club is fast falling back to its 1990’s level of irrelevance. If he, Sin, Dele and Lo Celso have any sense they will be off. Should be easy enough to fall out with Jose and so get a transfer

The thought of selling Kane and then giving the money to Mourinho is really quite appalling.

The sad thing is Kane will probably go to Man Utd so it won’t even be to a good club :(
