Seems like a similar case to Serge Aurier who was going through a trial in France. We got legal opinion at the time over what likely outcome was in terms of sentence and then pushed ahead with it so we have history of doing this.

Am I the only person who doesn't want us to sign a player (irrespective of how good he is) because in all likelihood is guilty of sexual assault?

The rumour is that one of his entourage (uncle) is alleged to have committed an offence. This happened in October 2021 and there is not a chance he would have been allowed to leave the country for AFCON in January 2022 if he was a prime suspect in the incident. Problem is the media blew the story up and added 2+2 and made 5. Innocent until proven guilty I would very much doubt that he would be coming to us or playing football if he was even a slight bit guilty ala Greenwood/Siggurdson/Mendy.

There seems to be a bit of conflicting information regarding this. Some media sources are saying it was him, others are saying he was just a witness and it was one of his entourage which is why he was arrested originally, and now he's just part of the investigation.

There's some info in the Bissouma thread that seems to be suggesting it's the latter.

Guy who hasn’t been charged, or even arrested, is “in all likelihood guilty of sexual assault” declares bloke on internet, presumably privy to some evidence that neither the police nor CPS are aware of.

If anyone ever wonders how society came to burn people for being witches, just spend 5 minutes online when anyone in the public eye is accused of anything whatsoever.

Very very happy if Bissouma gets confirmed, exactly what we need in midfield, the good times are coming to Spurs, being a fan for 38 years this has truly been worth the wait but a long time coming, Kudos to Levy, Paritici and Conte.

Sigurdsson guilty? Very much more to it than he's simply guilty.
