So the creative accounting was to re-use the money we obtained from Eriksen Transfer to make Lo Celso move permanent?
I would think (and maybe hope) that the accounting is somewhat more creative than that.
That sounds pretty simple.

Milan want either Foyth (perm)/Lamela as part of package. JM not sure if he wants to sell Foyth, and preferred a loan so he can learn, and believes Italy with their style of play, and defensive coaching would do him the world of good. We also value him in excess of 20m per market value. I expect KP to be done well before Friday. Closing is my opinion!

In best case I wouldn't sell any of them two. But the thing with Foyth is he needs minutes so we can see if he can develop in a trustworthy defender. He just isn't that right now. He can play awesome 89 minutes but has too often, nearly every game he plays, a penalty/"losing ball in dangerous position" in him. If he does not get a loan I think it would be okay to let him go completely with a decent sell-on clause or buy back option if possible. Would be kind of a shame but no sense just to keep him like KWP.

I really warmed to Lamela as a squad player. Hard working, energy, professional, passion...very good attributes to have around.

Absolute *WEGHORST* klaxon.

FINALLY. (lol)

[To confirm, I just like the guy's name and we were linked with him and Werner elsewhere in the world of Spurs rumours re: strikers from the Germania.]

Well isn't this all much more positive campers eh? A&C won't have to ban you all now. He will. But he won't have to.
Was this a fact or fake news ?

NB: Too much positives going on for my blood pressure. On a personal note, my posts may be a bit erratic as been in hospital with my grandson. And have SC prompts. All clear with him now
Glad to hear it Herc. Thanks for all the updates. Cheered my miserable day up. ?

DM & FORMATION
The DM we wanted proving/proved too risky financially. JM very happy with that. If something remarkable changes (opportunity) we will jump, like a VDV scenario.

JM has watched GF very closely for years, and believes he can grow into an very calming influence in the centre of the pitch. Told you he has developed a new system, which will slowly become apparent. It is very quick ball movement. Switching play quickly etc. With extremely dangerous/fast counter-attack, with a ‘cold-eyed’ finisher (Kane/KP) on the end of things. Kane will be rested much more next season.

This is lovely to read

Bit late to the party on this! But against Southampton away you could see we were breaking a lot better and playing a lot of quick sideways back and then forward passes in quick succession. I think first half it was really nice stuff that Son and Lucas should have finished. Shame we drew that as it really did look very good for long periods of the game.

I think Lamela is very average, but very difficult to not like his passion, effort etc. He just seems like a very nice guy. So in no way am I desperate to get him out. That said because I really like him I kind of feel he should move to a club where he is more of a given starter when fit. Seems to me like that would be more fun for him going forward.

Should be 100% up to him.

As for Foyth I would hate it if we sold him. Add him as a loan if necessary. 1.5 years.

Id keep Lamela to the end of the season then revisit the situation. I dont think it would be worthwhile selling him or even think about loaning him now. No real value in that and he may contribute between now and then which would be worth way more.

You are a phenomenal human being. Really didn’t need to pop in with the info given your personal situation but you still made time to keep us in the loop. So happy for you that it’s positive news for your grandson, nevermind what’s going on at the club.:notworthy:

If it’s the difference between getting Jose’s desired striker or not then I think the move is justified. I like Lamela but he is only a squad player, and one whose fitness we can never rely upon. Piatek would very likely be a fixture in the first XI for the rest of the season and would be likely to have a much greater impact.
