Yep am told once/if we get the fee agreed this will happen very quickly as most of the details are already worked out.

3 still in the mix for CM. I assume due to no new name given that they are the three I have already mentioned. Again unless there are any unexpected outs that will be the extent of our business in this window.

I think that we will get Berahino but I am a little concerned that we may miss out on all 3 of our CM/DM targets.

so if we agree the fee with WBA....so who is/are the SB back up/s because you can bet we'll end up with one of those :D
Eh? Who are the backups if we agree a fee?

Either i've read that wrong or one of us is under the affluence of incahol.

Kramer, Bender, Illaramendi

If those are the 3 then I certainly won't be disappointed with any of them.

However slightly concerned that all 3 could be unattainable. So no qualms with the aspiration, just hope we aren't being played.

I think Berahino is a bit of a cert. From his end, everything is sorted-just a few final wranglings and a bit of a show for the WBA fans...

We will agree a fee, not sure why people are so worried. This isn't some European superpower we are talking about...it's West Brom. I have said before that their record sale and signing is £10m so make no doubt about it they are pissing their pants about this, especially given they have already spent the Berahino cash and he is their only saleable asset.

They aren't needing to go out and do business so it's understandable they are waiting as long as they can for someone else to come in and create the bidding war they desperately want but it isn't going to happen. No-one else wants him better than us and we know this.

This deal will happen and when it does it will definitely be less than £20m and for this reason it will be "undisclosed". Just be patient guys.

Does that mean we're not expecting Ade or Lennon to go?
Not putting words into anybody's mouth, but IMO it's quite clear that Lennon & Ade will leave, or their salary will come from a misc budget post so to speak. (Somehow, they bear no importance on the actual squad). I thought Trix was referring to if no further outgoings beyond who have already left or are not given a squad number.

Agree, but I hope we have learned from mistakes and then wait until the next window for one of these somebody of similar ilk rather than get another squad filler.

Yep, Evans was backup if Toby didn't happen.
Was this in the knowledge that fazio would be leaving?

Basically, are we back in the hunt for a cb(eg. The norn iron cabbage) now that fazio is leaving? Or is poch happy with Toby, vert, Wimmer and dier.

Personally, I would have a great big lorry full of salt to hand where this Berahino thing is concerned. Anything could go wrong.

This is Spurs we're talking about.

Until he's signed, sealed and pictured wiping his cock on an Arsenal shirt on the official site, i'm not getting my hopes up. That way I can laugh at you lot when you rush for the razor blades if it goes tits.

Agree completely. If our options are Bender, Kramer and Illarramendi then imo we are leaving this window empty handed.

Re Berahino and the fee as a sticking point.

It's sickening that we drag this out til the end to save a few millions. Don't Levy see the value in getting in a player for the preseason and letting him know his team and tactics?

Also if you look at the Premier League payout it's stated that finishing 5th give 4 millions more in prize money than finishing 7th. Surely Levy must realize that there even is a chance to make up the difference by simply finishing a position higher? (Not to mention potential CL money).

entering the season with one striker is bad enough, but then Poch proceed and say he had to sub Kane cause he is knackered. So we entered the season with one striker who ALSO is knackered?

We knew all this, and yet here we still are haggling over the fee sigh. Absolutely horrible managment from Levy.

Luckily next June we will get the old "lessons have been learned" though, so its all good! (y)

*sigh*

Do you really think that:

1) this is the place to do this and
2) this hasn't been done to death, buried and cremated, miraculously brought back to life and then done to death another 10 times already?
