My worry is still that Kane will go in the summer ! Liverpool could now lose 2 of the famous front 3 and not skip a beat . The club need this kind of foresight!

Tbh if Kane goes, he goes. There’s a cycle & process. Not digging you out; just looking beyond with Conte glasses on

Zig & Zag's cover of the Black Lace track

Anyone else have Zig & Zig's album?? It was shit, and I haven't heard it for around 27 years now and it's still burnt into my brain.
I think that was about the same time as Cypress Hill's first album came out, so sadly I missed out on Zig and Zag! ?

The one positive about clearing the decks is if you are trying to attract players that are going to be out of contract. You can sell them a clear vision and they can see where they would fit in the squad. It also allows us to move early in the summer window. However I worry that Ndombele might struggle for a buyer. Can see GLC doing well. Hopefully does well in CL and he gets a move.

I'm suprised by the negativity, I actually think it was a pretty solid window....maybe pushing a 7/10.

A few things that amuse me

1. The bemoaning of Bentancur and Kulusevski as 'cast offs'. Firstly, it s Juve we are talking here not Genoa, so lets pull our head in a little. Secondly Bentancur has approx 7,500 minutes, 113 appearences and 86 starts over the last 3.5 seasons whilst Kulu is 21.....21 and played just under 2,000 minutes last season with 35 appearances.....FOR JUVENTUS!!
These are not players frozen out like our bunch they have been regular contributors for one of the biggest clubs in the world.

2. 'Diaz will be a star and Kulusevski is average'.......haha based on what? Is it the money? If Kulu was 60mil and Diaz 20 would opinions switch?
Now I'm not saying one is better than the other or vice versa, or that one will succeed and the other wont but what I am saying is either could go either way.....could be a Fernandes, could be a Van De Beek.
Diaz has had a great 6 months but if you went back to just the summer and asked people if they want a 24 year old Diaz whjo has only played in Columbia and Portugal and had 16 starts for Porto or a 20yr old Kulusevski who has had 3 seasons in Serie A and started 19 games as part of 35 appearences for Juventus....I think most would go Kulu.

3. 'If we scrape top 4' or 'we'll be lucky for top 4'. Pleeease, we are right in it. In fact considering we are 2 points behind United with 2 games in hand and we had more points then all bar City since Conte took charge as well as adding depth and clearing out distractions....I'd say we are the slight favourite of the chasing pack.

All in all cheer up ya dreary miserable bunch, things aint so bad

Prof on COYS:

He’s right. First and second choices in fact. Unfortunately one of them is at a club that is not eager to do business with us due to past dealings with DL.
Doesn't Sporting dislike us due to the Dier deal? They've got that young RB on loan with option from City who's been doing quite well.

Hard to narrow down all the clubs Daniel has annoyed over the years!

Also worth bearing in mind Kulusevski starts as a 18 month loan deal, the fee of which is almost covered by the wage savings....so if it doesnt work out no harm no foul

Bear in mind you're saying that on the basis of Jota - the other guy hasn't kicked a ball in the PL yet, so we don't know if his transition from Portugal will be 20/21 Bruno impact, or 21/22 Bruno impact.
I've said it before, but I don't think leaving all your key front three forwards' contracts to run out is necessarily as wise as people are interpreting. It would have been clever to have signed them up much sooner and sell as they hit their 30s, rather than decide between losing them for little/no fee and giving them their final big paydays as their careers are moving towards their twilight.

Pretty hard luck for some of the teams who'd potentially rely on La Liga to fund their next rebuild, as those clubs aren't in the market to spent €100m on a 30-year old Salah or Mané etc. I can see CIty gaining half a decade in the next few years

Start now writing a list of clubs pissed off by Dan and you should be finished for the start of the summer window.

Probably Southampton and most likely Livramento but possibly KWP.

If you recall Everton out bid us for Hojbjerg, but it appeared that we got Pierre to help strong arm them to sell at our price.

At least that was their view on it - I remember there were reports that it caused friction.

So I expect the top targets are Lamptey and Livramento as we seem to be targeting a lot of HG players at RWB and GK. Perhaps owing to a lack of HG options in other positions.

Think Maehle makes sense as the RWB target and *may* align with ITK. Serie A (Paratici-bonus-point), RWB familiarity (Conte-bonus-point), 24 years old (Levy-bonus-point) and he’s pretty decent.

Atalanta we have history with and I want to say the Romero deal had its ups and downs. Gollini was probably more straightforward because, well, we have seen him play and understand why they’d want rid.

Be interesting to know who this other 'in' was or position?

3 in was universally agreed by ITK and media alike but that appeared to change from RWB, CM and striker as certain targets fell.

Decks cleared ready for what will need to be another big summer. 7-8 ins needed imo: GK, 2xCBs, 2xCM/AM, RWB and another striker.

Let's now get our heads down and finish strongly because CL is a must.
There’s no way we bring 7-8 new players in one window.

On the RWB that is at a club that is not eager to do business with us due to past dealings with DL. The club in question has to be PSG. Levy sacked their manager and also done them over with the sell-on for Lo Celso. I heard their RWB is a slight upgrade on Royal and Doc :sneaky:

What happened to Hitchin and his seperate pot? Was it just the offer to Lewes of £100k. It looks just seems like something to keep him away from the transfers. In the summer he will be sent out for tartan paint and a bubble for the spirit level.
