I had that same though. Worried about spending that money in a 28yr old.
Until I remembered Villa signed for Barcelona being 28 (almost 29) and for 40m
Cool, I'll handle the transport (cabs)
Result! I will tell all the others well coopsieyid, wishkah and breezer lol they will be pleased i hope she doesnt mind taking 5 at once? Im sure some wont mind squeezing in the back lol
Paulinho and Chadli came out of left field, so this one almost appears to have too much steam behind it.
Fingers crossed but still pretty confident with Adebayor, Bale, Holtby, Chadli, Sigurdsson, Lennon, Dempsey and Paulinho we'll score goals anyway...
...and I'm sure there's another quality signing or three like Paulinho and Chadli to come.
Whats icecream got to do with this?
I need to let it go but if AY's info was right and we were working within a £50 million budget post Paulinho purchase, would leave us just the right amount seemingly to secure Bernard.
Bernard, Paulinho, Soldado and Chadli would be the best window I think we'll ever have in my lifetime.
And a ridiculously £67 million deficit... Even take away the Bernard transfer, we're going to be left hugely in the red; would be nice to see us break the mould for once.

We are not just a football club though. We are a business with football as it's core activity.
Arthurgrimsdale was right, you are completely missing his point. It's not just about money, Levy understand's that on pitch performance will have a/the most positive influence on turnover and profit (both in terms of individual players and collectively the team). Players aren't bought just because they a viable business propositions, they are bought to fulfil various, mutually inclusive purposes, but are generally bought to comply with normal self sustaining risk/reward financial parameters and not based on some fanciful notion of what might be if a big gamble might pay off.
Generally speaking.
Unless we sell Bale we're going to be far more in the red than in the past.
We've got players we can shift, but apart from maybe Lennon (should we choose to sell him), I don't see any other player worth £10m+
Paulinho wasn't out of left-field, the media amped it right up before the Confed Cup had finished.
Sort of a long shot here but this in conjunction with Gards saying that Coentrao is along the right track makes me wonder if we might be in for Alex Sandro, "Alex" being a commonality between the two players mentioned by the Goat, and all three having surnames beginning with s.The first letter of each word spells S O N G S A N C H E Z
We assume it's Alex (Song) and Alexis (Sanchez), of Barca.
Sorry for going off topic but is anybody else having trouble with the site tonight or is it just my broadband not being able to cope with the optimism on the site. Sorry once again but seem to be having problems even reading through the threads.
Levy probably has a sell on clause in every move Postiga makes, from when we sold him, up until he retires and recommended him to Valencia! He is his fucking replacement!
GOT LEVYED
