Probably being incredibly optimistic here, but I'm hoping that Levy has already spoken to Ancelotti...at least enough to know whether or not it's worth waiting around to see what happens after the CL final.

Either that or he's waiting for Moyes to get back from Mount Doom.

This very thought has been bouncing around the emptiness of my cranial cavity for a while now. I don't think it's as far fetched as some believe it to be :)

Glyno is a mod over at SO, so obviously not prone to wild bouts of nonsense.
He says re: Poch:
Not definite yet. Daniel has one or two concerns but the board are generally behind it; looking for a fresh outlook.

Let's just take that sentence in whilst considering how Chief Levy has fallen out with Sherwood, Villas-Boas, Redknapp, Jol et al, 'Daniel has one or two concerns'...:cry::LOL:

Well Mystery is considered an ITK still so going by him, we are back on de Boer again today

IMHO, Danny boy is playing it smart and waiting until after the weekend to see what happens with Ancelotti. If he's sacked, I imagine Levy will be on the phone the next second with him to try to get him on board.

What's Mystery had to say? He is Tottenham's Top ITK imho.

Makes it sound like Levy is the one who is learning.....i would imagine no matter what name you put there someone will have a concern or two, but if Daniel is taking a moment to consider the possibilities on one (or more) of the candidates not being a fit that will work smoothly maybe, just maybe he is actually trying to find a manager who stands the best chance to last for more than a season.

Well lets be realistic, Daniel really needs to be smitten with the chap because while the coach will have to deal with Franco on a daily basis Daniel is still our Vesper Lynd (the Money)

Sure, i'm being semi-comical, but when you think Levy getting along with a coach is a big factor you can't help but roll your eyes at the idea that prior to appointment, Levy 'has concerns'. Just play nicely Chief Dan!

Don't we all have some concerns about whoever we hire at the moment? None of the primary candidates are without pretty significant cons to go with their pros.

Doesn't mean Danny Boy has concerns about getting along with them.

He can go fuck himself good and proper then, no chance we give them Eriksen. Would love to see his face when Levy tells him and the Manure bigwigs to go fuck themselves.

As someone said the other day, Yoonited already have more No. 10s than you can shake a stick at, so I really don't think there's any chance they'll try for Eriksen. What they do need is a whole new back line, so Vertonghen could well be a target.

That's why I would go all out for Benitez if it's possible. Levy is going to fall out with everyone anyway (after all, Sherwood was supposed to be well in with Levy and the relationship still broke down by all accounts).

The idea of a long term manager at Spurs, with a harmonious relationship with the board isn't realistic imo, so why not just appoint the most successful manager?

Anyway, I know I'm pissing in the wind with this one and it will be Poch or De Boer. And I genuinely can't decide who I'd prefer. I seem to change my mind on a weekly basis.

I'm personally good with Pochettino or FdB. Either way I'm going to be happy and ready to back the new man at the helm of our club.
Exactly. So many people think that if you make a positive comment about one of them, you want them as manager. It's utter crap. I get slated for saying some positive things about Poch when I'd be equally happy about getting FDB

So we're working with Pich to get the deal done and we're working with FdB to get the deal done. Guess it's first come first serve then?

*In before the new manager is someone not named Frank de Boer, Mauricio Pochettino, Rafael Benitez, or Carlo Ancelotti....

Just reading through some old comments. I wasn't far off.... Inbox me for this weeks lottery numbers lol

AVB to be our manager and Tim Sherwood his assistant. Avb will help him learn the ropes and tactical knowledge etc etc. Then Levy sacks AVB and appoints Tim as manager saving millions on wages. :)
