I'm willing to go to Spain dressed as a Welshman and allow a gang of you guys to beat the shit out of me. We'll then take turns being the 'Welshman' who gets the shit kicked out of him, every day, for a few weeks.

The media will pick up on the Anti-Welsh beatings occurring across Spain (particularly in Madrid) and Bale will stay at Spurs.

We'll even release some Al-Qaeda style videos of a Welsh fellow being taunted with a red flag by several guys in matador get-up.

I am welsh and when I say welsh I am as welsh as they come if it meant bale would stay I would go out to Madrid and take the beartings just for this place to be a happy place!

It's sad that Bale is seemingly being misled by people who claim to have his interests at heart when really they are out to make a quick buck for themselves. If you look in the press, there are some big names stating he's not ready. Most level headed people can tell a year more in the PL would do him the world of good (and us :p )

I just hope that one is Lamela as no-one else will be good enough to appease the fans.
I'd love us to go for Lamela, but I think Di Maria will more than suffice to be honest. Not much of a goal-scorer, but still a fantastically gifted winger.

Also hope we can replace that 'dodgy CD' soon.

The other interesting thing of all this is bale is in his last year with the stellar group maybe they are dying to push the move to get one last pay day out of the worlds biggest cash cow atm
If I was a scumbag agent, that's what I'd do. Makes perfect business sense from their end.

Yes 1 was Soldado.
Just checking that i did mention that we were trying to get rid of dodgy CD last week?

So was Soldado only happening after we entered discussions with RM re Bale?

If not then this just brings up the concerns over not reinvesting all the funds.

Say the deal is €€€ + Coentrao + Di Maria/Morata (making 3 players) what happens to the cash?

I wouldn't be surprised - isn't the agent the one who was suspended over Cashley Cole's transfer to the Russian's club?

LLM stuff is excellent and cant fault it, however the Bale info at the moment is only for a select few and unless he is hearing directly from a select few people he may be a bit behind time wise. The club line within is he's staying but go higher and you get the real (no pun intended)story.

JJ, why would the "higher" persons say the real story? I don't understand why them, the ones who are allegedly making up the official story, would do the contrary. It doesn't make sense to me.

Conflicting info over Bale. But as has been said before, people hear different things at different stages, so not as black and white as right and wrong.
Kind of sums up my take on it. Conflicted.
On one hand, with him, he is a genuine match winner, and they are rare. That's why we should keep him. On top of the goal threat he offers, the defenders he'll attract will open chances up elsewhere.
On the other hand, if he goes, we will be compensated financially to a degree, that whilst losing our star, we'll be able to strengthen as a whole. Team over individual? We may then shift that 'one man team' tag we got last season.

Reality, I think we're in a win win situation. Keep him, no dramas, he's world class. Lose him, no dramas, we can strengthen the team with the fee.

Sorted then.

I've been at Uni in Wales for 3 years so I think I can do a pretty good impression.

Another thing i was thinking about bale.

If he is that much family orientated. I am sure he would want to at least stay one more year for AVBs (the baby) sake ha ?

All in all, this burst of transfer activity - Dumpster, Caulker going, new centre-back, probably new left-back, Bale going, two or three in to replace him, Parker and/or Hudd out, one of the strikers, seems a bit of a shame. Seemed to me at the end of last season that after years of overhauls and transitional seasons, what we were crying out for was three quality players and three or four out. Some stability. We've certainly got the quality, but I get the impression the next month is going to see a fair old merry-go-round at Spurs again.

I think he means a close nit are saying something different behind closed doors. But telling others bellow them that he will stay

Lets face it, although it seems JJ's info is going against the tide of today's positive ITK.

On the whole (ooh er...) The other ITK from today is massively going against everything we've heard/read.

I find it hard to believe that people lower down the pecking order are being told Bale will stay for some evil ulterior motive?

What purpose could that possibly serve, other than further putting people's backs up against DL/Joe Lewis/Enic etc.

Doesn't add up to me. Especially if it's just to get a few extra £
