I don't see how we can fund a creative midfield player (and accommodate them in the squad) unless more progress is made on the outs. But as long as Ndombele is still here and we buy a striker in addition to the inevitable moves happening now then i'm certainly not going to grumble.

He was exhibiting very negative body language in one of the scenes.

I think that may just be him to be honest. He looks constantly pissed off.

Anyway, thats more for the player thread. I'm still hopeful of a central midfield addition but certainly won't be annoyed if we don't.

Bale, Sergio and a striker along with Doherty, Hart and Hojbjerg makes for a brilliant window IMO.

I can’t imagine how overproduced the Bale announcement video will be. Surely it will be him Bungie jumping off the sky walk?
They'll just photoshop Bales head on Arnie's Terminator saying "I'll be back!"

Save a few Shekels and all that..

For the Bale reveal vid I'm hoping for 'Spurs Wars - Return of the Gareth.'

It’s truly bizarre. Feels sometimes as if some get more excited about spreadsheets and financial statements than football.
as a "Tuttifrutti" fan with Porto being the other football club I support (Porto born and raised), I can definitively say that financial sustainability is as important as the product on the field. even with titles attached.

No!!

Daniel has trained us, over the years, to be careful with the clubs money!!!!!

When I talk to other fans about transfers most of them know what their teams can and can't afford in the transfer market. It's a total myth that we're the only ones that talk about the money side of transfers.
Anyway, good news that we're still in for a creative midfielder.

It's clearly a speculate to accumulate window. Based on the doc I can see Jose laying it out to Levy like a child. That sitting on the money would be great for the short term, but another season with potentially no fans, no CL and no where near a trophy would be more disastrous long term for the club in finances and reputation than an investment now.

I'm told there's been a hold up in Madrid. Nothing to do with the deal, just a travel issue. It's literally just a signature now, as everything else has been agreed and contracts are in place.
