Swindon OS also announced it today aswell though. I think im right in saying it was agreed to be a loan doal was it not? which has now been turned into a permanent, I could be wrong though (i'm not talking about last seasons loan deal). Seems to tie in with what LLM said about Swindon having a good relationship with us

I'm sure it had been all done a month or so ago though. Read it on a Swindon forum when I was looking up stuff about why parretts loan was cut short.

Having Defoe back on form this season will be like signing a £20m striker

I have no doubt that Defoe will be back on form in the new season. It's just the other 36 games I'm worried about.

50/50 on Benteke, diamond in the rough maybe? I would have preferred a more technical player after watching Defoe's insipid nonsense but AVB/Evil Committee might see a player that can be moulded, AVB did after all see how Jose got the best out of Drogba. If i was doing the deal then i would definitely include a few players. Naughton ,Livermore, maybe we would use someone like Falque to tempt Lambert..

I've always had a hard time understanding Jasper's standing. Ari hates him and while Ari hates everybody, he seems to especially have issues with Jasper. Mentiar too. So I never know if we're supposed to post him here. And then whether to take it seriously.

Can not get the Defoe knickers. OK not worth £20m but still a good striker at prem level. Certainly a good squad player at least. Goals v West Ham and Man City last year ?
