Just read the Negredo is going to Valencia on loan, why aren't we all over that deal?

Valencia will be making big promises today. Bigger than we can deliver. Peter Lim's takeover just needs rubber stamping, so apparently they'll announce some big loans.

Sandro on loan just makes zero fucking sense to me. If he isn't in Poch's plans then fine, I understand, but what the hell do we gain from loaning a player whose close to running down his contract, and to a crap club no less? Either sell him to the highest bidder (and there were quite a few Italian clubs interested earlier) or keep him as backup and try to get him to learn the system. He isn't on massive wages and he isn't a clubhouse distraction - I don't understand how this benefits us even a tiny bit.

Well he is taking up a squad space and if he's not in the managers plans then it's pointless keeping him especially if there are players coming in.

How about he gets a season to regain his fitness and form at a place where he'll play every week? The silly mistakes that he's been making for us will be made somewhere else and after 3 months or a year we get the rejuvenated beast back.

I agree with you, and would go one step further and would also question the loaning of Holtby out to Hamburg, as well. Sandro and Holtby are very solid players, who are capable of playing a big role for us in Cup competitions, which may be our only route to the CL this season. If we lose these two, but don't bring in major transfer fees by selling them that would allow Levy to sanction spending on 1 quality signing, then what exactly is the point? We significantly weaken our squad and if we are hit with injuries like last season, then we will be in a world of trouble.

My biggest fear is the off-loading of players (Sandro, Holtby on top of Sigurdsson earlier in the window), only for us to miss out on the one to two targets we have (say Welbeck for example), leaving us with a potentially weaker squad than we had when the season ended last May.

Bear in mind we have been told to expect 2 in and 4 out today. The ins I can see, it's the 4 out that will be tough IMO.

Funny, I think it's opposite. We'll see.
I have to go turn a client down so I don't get my self into having urgent deadlines today.

In out, in out shake it all about, you do the transfer cokey, and you turn one out, thats what Levy's all about it.

We get him back with one year on his contract. Levy has been extremely reluctant to let any even marginally useful player run down their contract, so we'll be trying to sell him again but this time every interested club will have the upper hand, being able to sign him on a free in six months time.
