I think a lot of people do, not least because of the belief that he can fill in at CB (which, admittedly, he can, but it's strictly emergency). Sherwood's admitted he's only just getting to know him, which is honest and fair enough. I doubt he saw much of him at Toulouse, and Villas-Boas played him as a DM and CB. But what's this Sherwood 'rant'?

What Sherwood rant? I was purely saying that Ferdinand has come out an said they want midfielders that can defend and contribute to the attack (know when to stay and go etc), Capoue does this while having a natural natural defensive instinct. I was just highlighting he is the sort of player that say they want yet don't seem to want him...

It's very strange because though Capoue primarily played DM at Toulouse in his last season he was playing pretty much an am role and even managed 7 goals and was their second top scorer iirc.
Now I don't blame Sherwood for not being so familiar with him, he had another job to do so maybe he didn't have much involvement with him and maybe rarely saw him play for Toulouse. What is strange is that presumably we must have spent some time scouting him that season and he had certainly been linked before, so there must be a few still at the club that are aware of his qualities that should be giving Tim the lowdown on him and other players he may not be familiar with.
Granted anyone wants to see a player themselves and get their own impressions and that can take a little time but there must be scouts and a stack of videos to check out a player as well

I mentioned last night Livermore is happy to move to Hull on a permanent. Few people gave me creative and wtf ratings. Oh well can't keep everyone happy.

Yep I called it as well. Racking up the pressure on Hull and I think we needed the cash. Now it looks like it won't happen that way, but my call again is that if they stay up then Jake will go for the figure we want.
