I find it strange that Livermore (and I presume all players) know about an upcoming investment. Would this not lead to them demanding pay rises knowing that we might finally be able to match wages of clubs above/around us? Maybe they were told to show them the club is ambitious and going in the right direction.

It shows that Luca isn't just thinking about the money as it seems he is still insisting on leaving despite us being able to offer him a rise to (presumably) match or better Bale's. Fair play, let him leave and get someone in that has the desire.

If Jacob's '2 bits of bad news' are Luca leaving and King retiring then I'll take that - I was resigned to both happening toward the end of last season so nothing new there.

Defour has been at Porto for 1 season, signed a 5yr deal.

Not sure if it was, but Rebrab being a member here and a contributor to the b e r o l fiasco, would suggest that was the only realistic link...

I know people are saying parker new deal. unless Rebrab was being knowingly cryptic/smokescreeny about it, it would most certainly suggest that it was the b e r o l link, not a new pen reference to parker...

Sounds plausible, but then right now anything sounds plausible, i feel like a crack addict waiting to get my fix, hurry the fuck up and announce the new manager already Levy!!!

Clearly the pen manufacturer cryptic was coined without perceiving the possible ramifications.
So we ended up with Parker, Mont Blanc and 'Berol'.
Rebrab later confirmed that he'd informed mods and that it was something obvious. This all but ruled out anything to do with Parker (cos there's no story there), Mont Blanc was a bit of a guess and BEROL was actually a clever take on the wildly popular and not at all overused nickname inadvertantly given to Verts. As such, the by far most likely interpretation was that Vertonghen's signing had been completed.

IMO of course, but if anyone seriously mentions Parker again... just, NO!
