I'm hoping/guessing this AVB hold up is because the club want to speak to Laurent Blanc before confirming our next manager.

I put on a fiver on Blanc when the odds were 33-1 so my bank account will be happy if he is appointed. Unlikely I know if you consider the amount of AVB ITK we've had.

Rebrab said he won't just put the name down as reporters lift info from here when he does that. If there's some ambiguity in who it is then they can't lift the story as easily. He did say it was easy to guess who it was, and that it wasn't Blanc. He also said a few days ago that we were close to signing Verts, Siggi and AVB so it shouldn't be too hard to wittle it down to one of them.

I'm not complaining, just merely pointing out that pages of guess work doesn't go down well in this thread (understandably given the lengths some go to in their guesswork )

Spurs rarely use press conferences to announce anything, I can only thing of Gross and Bentley (who requested one) in 'recent' history.
When a press conference is called by a club, it is usually for the following day.

I think saying he "left us hanging" is a bit strong really. JJ doesn't exactly owe anyone anything. He was very generous with his info a few days ago and that's enough for me. Would people have preferred that info to be drip-fed over a week instead?

I'm surprised people are getting so anxious. Something's clearly going to happen soon, and personally I find it all very exciting.
