Holtby story is true..... Just saying.... That is all.

Scarier than Holtby going is the thought that Jacob might be on ball with other information.

Ah well, at least we got some solid info ahead of a donation appeal!

Now we just need to find out whether it's a loan or a permanent deal. Hopefully we'll find out it's the 1st option!

Confirmation of a Holtby loan deal and that Sherwood really likes Lamela and prefers him to Townsend would be a decent morning...I'm not confident though!

£5 donation made to help SC along, and also as a celebration of the return of JJetset (even if the info wasn't ideal!).

I'll pledge to add to it at the end of the month if we retain Lamela and sign a player to improve the first team (preferably LB, LW or ST).

@Francis Gibbs , I generally take your disagrees as confirmation of a good post ;), but I do prefer to at least know the difference of opinion rather than just a red cross? Surely a loan is better than selling him out right if we have uncertainty over the longevity of the manager and wee see potential in him?

Sky Sports saying a move for Holtby would only be on loan.

Loan or Permanent? That is the question.

I don't see the problem with Holtby going. We have a number of players who can play that attacking midfielder, number 10 role and it's not as if Tim's playing such a formation at present.

Don't rate him myself.

He probably disagrees about Lamela being preferred to Townsend.

Oh ok, fair enough. Not sure I understand though, given that Townsend was 'in form' for the first part of the season yet had less end product in the Prem than Andy Sinton with amputated legs..(well almost...:p)

Holtby sounds like a bit of a KPB situation. Not really getting near the first team despite obvious potential.

Will he turn into the next big thing? Probably not. However, he will end up being a good player (like KPB) who we probably will not really miss.

Was this picked up yesterday?

Jacob ‏@Jacob_ITK17h
If you're upset at losing Holtby wait till he ships out Lamela and Capoue. #ego

Jacob‏@Jacob_ITK
@WalkerboyUK lets see how many games he starts. Baldini fighting Lamela's corner not hopeful on the other 2

Apologies if so but it wasn't in the RO....

The 'ego' comment is what has me worried as it is playing into what I suspected. If we sell Lamela based on Sherwoods backwards views......
I think you can see it in two ways either like what you have pointed out or maybe that the person with the ITK (Jacob) has a personal dislike to Tim, warping the reliability of the ITK. With JJ's ITK now, I'm hoping for the latter

True, but most who leak ITK generally have a slight bias in regards to their opinion of the men in charge. JJ is probably 'pro' Sherwood (exchanges on Twitter a few weeks ago). So it's always about making your own mind up. Alternatively a negative perception by an ITK could be the realistic one...we don't know. As I said, it sort of just played in to my maybe biased negative opinion.

I like Holtby's spunk (stop giggling in the back) but as a player, he's left an awful lot to be desired.

A loan move would be preferential but ultimately, he is well down the pecking order with the established players and now seemingly the likes of Bentaleb and (when he returns) Carroll will also be preferred so not sure where he fits in at this current moment in time.

Shifting Capoue and Lamela though is just fucking idiotic.

Holtby 100% has to be a loan, for so many reasons, main one for me being there would be little chance of us (edit) reinvesting the funds this window.

But then this is Spurs...
