GLC is an itsy bitsy player who will pop up with the odd goal.

Not a Mourinho type at all.

Remember guys tall and technical.

I've been reluctant to post on the main forum(have behind the scenes)because others have said differently, but I've heard it on three separate occasions now.

JM not keen on GLC and would rather the loan cancelled and the money was spent elsewhere.

Exactly why its so critical for us to have a functional DoF not subject to whims of managers. Best piece of business we’ve done in last few years and it’ll end up wiped out.

Even if not in long term plans of one manager, buy him for 27 and then flip in the summer for 40+. Just from a business standpoint it’s a no-brainer.

Quality is blatantly obvious on the pitch when given the chance.

If Trixs info is correct and we don’t exercise our option on GLC, and we also miss out on Bruno to Utd, could this suggest that we would be (at least attempting) to follow Liverpool’s model?

As far as I’m aware; they play with 3 physical CMs who are technical with the ball, and no classic #10 per se. Their creativity comes from their full backs and wingers (areas that ITK has suggested we will be looking to strengthen over coming windows).

That being said, I’d be gutted if we don’t sign GLC permanently.

Thanks for sharing Trix! Weird though as I could have sworn ITK previously said he was highly rated by Mourinho. Maybe Jose has changed his mind after seeing him train? Such a shame as I think he will be a top player if given the chance. He looked very good against Liverpool.

If BF ship has also sailed then it would be strange to get rid of GLC.

I don't think GLC fits into the team shape, he wants midfielders

Gards has said that the BF ship has now sailed

Looks like everyone has given up on top 4 (can't really blame them) and now it's money saving time. Utd could make top 4 with him if Rashford and Martial stay healthy. Or maybe he flops like Schneiderlin there to make everyone here feel better...

Oh that is a shame I like the look of him when he comes on , I think it’s a case of finding his best position and giving him a run the side . Wouldn’t want to lose him and eriksen in this window without bringing in a playmaker. Especially as the BF signing ain’t going to happen

Yeah. @JJetset said previously that Mourinho rates LoCelso and will give him time to adapt.

That's a shame.
Also a shame that we'll have wasted what was quite a hefty loan fee.
If it is the case, we need to get a replacement in this window, as surely Lo Celso will have to go back this month.
Otherwise, we're being left with a gaping hole... Or left with Eriksen!

What was the loan fee? 12m? 16m?
That could have bought a decent youth prospect and it appears we may have wasted it on a player we've barely seen.

I imagine that GLC isn’t for sure gone and that he’ll get a chance to prove himself like everyone else. If he keeps putting in performances like he did yesterday I think we’ll see him as a fixture long term.

As I said was reluctant to post because others were hearing different. Heard it first at the begining of Dec, heard it again today third time three completely different sources. Could all stem from the same source, but I doubt it.

On GLC, as what Trix shared. Very interesting how this one ends up, because we have a commitment with RB. Only price difference; we pay less if we don’t make CL. But as far as I am aware we have an obligation to make it permanent. DL trying to haggle it down. My gut feeling is we will make it a permanent. The board’s take is, we cannot discard just like that, especially with our outlay thus far. Loan fee was not cheap neither, and arranged to offset our permanent deal with him.
It's quite funny that JM doesn't fancy GLC because he's looked better than what we've got whenever he's played. Wonder if we're about to have a Salah or KDB moment with Mourinho?

Kane will be 27 at the start of next season. No Champions League and a long rebuild (up to 4 windows) with young players that simply won`t be ready to challenge for trophies. If the info from ITK is correct he will surely ask to leave sooner rather than later.

This is the reality of it.

We should of strengthened when In a position of strength and could of avoided such a rebuild.

But we sat on our hands and didn't.

Probably a combination of financial planning for stadium, Poch's refusal to take certain players and Levys' reluctance/unsuccessful pursuit of top targets.

But we're paying the price now.
