I don’t think anyone would get sacked for losing 2-1 away to the league leaders, regardless of the context.
We need to lose to Everton. It's for the greater good. Like those villagers in Hot Fuzz believed in. I mean, it's been a long time since I saw it, but I think I remember everything turning out basically fine for them.

Even though I disagree, I can see the point of view of those that believe Levy/ENIC are happy for us to be "the new Arsenal".

I find it absolutely inconceivable however that they would be happy with us being "nearly really good" for 3 years before starting from scratch again on a rolling 5 year basis.

As VY said a while back - "tick tock".

In the past it's never potentially cost him 30 million quid though.

I’d be amazed if Levy, of all people, has allowed himself to be in a position where he has to pay a managers full contract up. Especially this day and age. Didn’t Moyes get one years pay? Offer Poch mutual decision and a years salary perhaps? He’ll find work. Will do him a favour before he can further ruin his reputation. He’s gonna go from Real Madrid’s first choice to Marco Silva replacement at Everton within the space of 6 months

Surely it wouldn’t be a £30 million lump sum?

It would be paid out over the remaining term of his contract.

There must also be a clause where he can’t take another job while he is still being paid by Spurs.

Otherwise, he would need to agree a settlement with Levy.

No mate, we need to make the change now and kick start our season with a big new manager bounce at Goodison.

We've lost enough games in the last 9 months and I'm sick of it.

Cant see Levy sacking him and Poch would walk off with £32 million.
MP was in breach of contract last summer with his repeated pledges that he would leave the club if we won the final. He clearly had his eye on the real or man U manager jobs and was inviting an approach.
So I don't think MP has much of a case to take the whole £32m if he were sacked.

But if Man U want him right now, they'd have to cough up £32m to pay off the contract. It is small change for Utd, but they'd rather send both our clubs into death spirals than cough up.
It is daft, as where MP goes, Kane is likely to follow sooner or later.

30m is still 30m though and it will have consequences on either cash flow or the current balance. The best would be for Poch to be headhunted by another team but I doubt that will happen. The second best thing would be a termination of mutual consent but there's very little incentive for Poch to do that when he knows how much he'll gain by persisting.

I agree! He should have gone after the Bayern game for me, that was the proof IMO that the players had given up on him.

Cant see us beating Everton Away or Sheffield United at Home who are unbeaten Away, after that comes the International break, good time to get in a replacement

Don't worry, we'll have Eddie Howe in place to start another 5 year 'project'

Yep. Thing is, if it happens, it happens. I won’t be impressed but if it does take place or if Poch stays etc, reduce my season ticket considerably. I think I have a good argument too. Paying the highest ticket prices in football to watch the 8th/9th best team in English football doesn’t really seem that fair to me

Brighton for me.

After the humiliation of Bayern, who are quality, I was expecting a massive reaction.

It was actually pathetic.

All those talking about another "5 year project" - why? If all ENIC are interested in is money, then that's a pretty poor strategy! It also totally ignores the fact that that's literally what Poche has been talking about doing himself. We might as well clear the squad out (including Kane, Son and the 2 x £60m players we've just bought) and let him get on with it if the board agrees with him.
