What irritates me is this constant argument of ambition, because the way I see it what Poch and what Kane are trying to achieve is far far more ambitious than these managers who leave to join big clubs and get their trophy and survive for 4/5 years. Okay Poch could go to United and he wins the title and he will be considered a top manager. However if he stays at spurs and he wins the league, he turns spurs into a dynasty the way Fergie did with United, the way Wenger did at Arsenal then he becomes one of the legendary managers of the game. I believe Poch staying with spurs and trying to turn us into a behemoth is showing more ambition. People can say ooo but resources and backing, fuck me we have the best stadium in europe coming in a month. We have the best training facilities arguably in the world already. People put a limit in their own heads on what can be achieved (not the person I quoted, I'm talking generally) based on what has already happened, they can't envisage a scenario which doesn't go with what they've experienced with the last 20 years.
I'm adamant that Poch and also Kane do not put a ceiling on what they can achieve with spurs and my opinion is in the next 15-20 we will be the next big club because of these people. It's time we as fans stopped being shackled in our beliefs of what this club can go on to do and start believing in our club. Of course there is a chance that he can go United, I'm putting my money that he doesn't. If he goes to United he will be joining the Contes, the Pellergrinis who turn up, win a title where it's expected and are slowly forgotten about. Poch stays here and achieves something and he's up there with Jose, Pep, Fergie and Cruyff imo.

I'm not sure thats completely true. The CM's we've been rumored to be after the last few years have all been more technical players. Rabiot, Gomes, Isco, Kovacic, De Jong, Ndombele, Barkley etc.
Brillant post. And it fucking pains me that these so called pundits can't seem to see the wood from the trees in all this.
It's a far bigger achievement to transform this Club into one of the elite, instead of helping one of the elite get back into the elite with hundreds of millions to do it with.
WHY CAN'T SOME PUNDITS RECOGNISE THIS?
I think it's down to their own mindsets as to why they can't see this, I think that because the same people who throw that ambition line at me happen to be the least ambitious people I know, they can't seem to mentally imagine circumstances which they've yet to see.
Yeah I agree. Even speaking to people I know, United and Liverpool fans, they just won't accept that we're just as competitive with less financial resources....its there in black and white and theyll still argue shit like they have to pay higher fees because of their Club's stature etc lol.
I think some people have a real problem with the progress we've made with such little investment, certainly in comparative terms. They just won't and can't accept it and are dying for us to fuck back off into obscurity.
Losing Pochettino threatens our current rise, that's why so many our loving this.

Here's a thought, stop watching Sky and listening to TalkSport.
I think Wanyama is everything Poch wants in a defensive mid but not the box to box player.True but look at thes ones we’ve ended up with. Wanyama for example seems everything that Poch wants in a centre mid. He was class no doubt but you won’t want too many of them types in one side.

Dude you turned me on with this post
Exceptional and wholeheartedly agree.

Levy: "Best I can do a lifetime contract for Ben Davies."Will Levy give Poch a Christmas present in the form of Gareth Bale?
The antihistamine makes me feel topsy-turvy.
