Teams have been parking the bus against us for years, on the whole we seemed to have worked how to play against those sides last year with the same group of players. Weve never had the players to break through the lines, but we used to win it back and attack so quickly that the opposition had no time to set up, leaving Alli and Eriksen in space to do their thing. For whatever reason we arent doing that anymore, i think its mainly a midfield problem but Walker missing probably doesnt help.

If anything at Wembley with the larger area to play in it should be easier attacking like this. It’s weird. I wouldn’t say the smaller teams have played out of their skins either. It’s been more down to us.

Our play has been lazy in the final third against these teams at home all season. A complete lack of movement. I’ve been at the home games so am not in the match threads but I expect a lack of movement and players standing round in the final third is mentioned quite a lot in between the complaining.

Some posters on here need to remove the sand from their vaginas sharpish...few bad results and Poch is in the firing line...probably the same people complaining about a lack of stability when Levy was burning through managers like nobodies business.

You want Poch sacked?
No. I'm obviously trolling. I assumed that having been a member on here for nearly 5 years, people would know that I was taking the piss. With that being said, I do think he's made some odd decisions in recent weeks, and he doesn't seem to be taking much responsibility for our shit form, which is disappointing.

Tonight I'm just looking over at Dyche with Burnley and can't help but think would he have lost that game?

Also he's English (I think, he never really mentions it so not sure) so might do well with our English boys as he knows more about the style over here and also might be able to have proper conversations with them about like birds n stuff rather then poch just talking about 'philosophy' and writing fucking books all the fucking time, I'm sick of this: its football not book writing ffs!

People laughing on Tuesday not laughing now!

Get 'arry back, put in a cheeky bid for Bale and maybe look into finally getting that Damiao fella, heard he was boss. Also that scot fullback playing for villa and crouchy are still playing, get the old gang back together, 4-4-2.

Let's get back to winning trophies like we did in 08, whats the point of the champions league, corrupt EU shit. Won't be able to compete in it when we leave Europe anyway so let's focus on BRITISH trophies

Oh and get the bald prick out from the top, all this net spend bollocks, buy some players and then you'll make money back! Duh

That's a terrifying thought and I'm sure Poch will sort this out but it would be useful to see him drop Dele for someone just based on the fact he's offered little over the last few games. Nor has Eriksen though- hope Lamela's reintegrate is successful sooner than later. Or failing that, bring in one of the youngsters to shake things up

It's silly people calling for his head already, he's got more than enough credit in the bank for me. We've been struggling partly due to key players being out and exposing weaknesses in our depth, but we're also not being helped by several key players going missing and looking half-arsed, with Alli being the key culprit for me and despite Eriksen's brilliant start to the season, he's been awful the past 2 or 3 games. I think Poch needs to drop Alli for a while until he can sort himself out. He hasn't been right all season except for 2 games.

If Poch has one weakness it's his subs and in-game management IMO but that being said, we really don't have a lot of great options off the bench, as evidenced by how many minutes Sissoko has got recently. Hopefully Lamela coming back in can go some way towards helping that but we really do need some more depth.

So why "troll" like a fucking 13-year-old with no mates instead of contributing to the discussion? Save the trolling for the comments section of youtube videos or something

Tbf why are you on a spurs forum criticising people having some fun if you're a napoli fan?

I spent several years living in Naples so I like Napoli. Doesn't mean I'm any less of a Spurs fan. People have all sorts as their avatar, it's completely irrelevant.

I'm not stopping anyone from having fun, you were just trolling and then openly admitted to it when people called you out on it and are now getting your knickers in a twist because you're being criticised. My point was why would you intentionally troll and then get upset when you're called out? Surely that's the point in trolling in the first place is it not? I'd say you're the one ruining the fun not me because all you're interested in is intentionally making stupid comments to provoke a reaction, rather than contributing anything to the discussion

It wasn't me mate just thought it was interesting you got annoyed at someone for a joke, btw he didn't get annoyed, just told everyone it was a joke.

Also it is weird to have another clubs badge as your avatar on a spurs forum, not saying you're any less of a fan, just think it's odd

This. Only reason I can think of is that he's hoping people will ask so he can regale us about being a Neapolitan in the past.

The last month has sucked but Poch has to get back the intensity to our game. It's completely dropped away, but for me that's what has weakened us and affected performances and results.

Toby and Vic are big losses, there's no denying that but it's our lack of intensity, that ability to win the ball back quickly and high up the pitch, and exploit the immediate space that results from that which has faded away.

Guardiola said we were the best team in the league when given space and he's right, but much of the time it was our intensity that cultivated the space for us to reek havoc.

We don't look as dangerous now as a result, certainly not to the point we've consistently looked. Rarely do we have those overloads or spare man baring down on the opponents box.

Yes there is the Wembley factor, bigger pitch as well, and the aforementioned injuries, but Pochettino has to get us working harder again.

We're always going to struggle when we're in this sort of coasting mode, side to side laborious build up play making it easier for defensive minded sides.

We're starting a lot of games like that, and for me it's sets a poor tone because when we lose the ball we still look laxidasical a lot of the time and that intensity is missing.

Time for Poch to be brave, a word he likes, and get that intensity back - whatever it takes.
