I am all for positivity and backing the manager based on what we have witnessed over the last 5 years or so with Poch. However it comes down to our individual mentality and romanticism vs reality. For me Poch is done, finished, Kaput, over and that is not said lightly but actually with a lot of sadness. But it's based on reality of our performances not just a few games here or there but consistently for the last 10 months or so. Poch isn't learning from his mistakes in terms of selection and he is not proactive when it comes to in game management. So he is stubborn and believes in his methods and that is his right but it will mean the end of his tenure.
The genie is out the bottle and the magic has gone. This happens time and time again at football clubs and theres only ever one outcome. My view on Poch is not the most popular as I truly believe he benefited from exquisite timing and inherited a core of players that were very good and a striker in Kane that comes round once every generation if not even longer. The fact that we have not won anything over the last 5 years is a fucking travesty of epic proportions. Don't get me wrong I have enjoyed the ride as much as the next man but we should have won something even if was the league cup.
I am not in the football is about top 4 and look at our facilities and stadium camp. Yes that is nice but the things I remember the most are the trophies we won. 1991 still burns bright for me and so does the league cup win in 2008. When I am on my death bed looking back I am not going to be saying "yes but we built a lovely stadium and finished 4th a lot". Life is too short to not enjoy every moment we can and let the major moments carry us through on a wave of positivity.
Timing is everything in football as in life and right now there are a few top managers available that could do a very very good job for Spurs. Levy should rip the bandaid and let the healing begin.
Dr.Mourinho or Nurse Allegri will see you now.
