Kyle Walker feels his understanding with Aaron Lennon is developing all the time.
Such a potentially explosive weapon down our right flank, full-back Kyle and Aaron, playing on the right of our forward midfield three, were impressive in Thursday night’s 2-0 loss at Valencia.
The pair caused the La Liga side all sorts of problems but unfortunately, on this occasion, a number of raids down that side came to nothing.
“I thought we were building up a better understanding towards the end of last season,” said Kyle.
“It’s difficult, because I always want to get forward and that’s obviously Azza’s strength as well.
“We’re understanding each other a lot better, not taking it in turns to go forward, but knowing when to go and who is better to go. It’s all positive.”
We created a number of chances in the first half at the Mestalla but found ourselves behind following a magnificent strike from Jonas.
The second half was more even in terms of possession but again, we created more only to go further behind with another lethal finish from Feghouli.
“They scored a wonder goal and you have to take your hat off to that, but apart from that they had another two chances and stuck one away,” added Kyle.
“It is difficult coming to their stadium, fans behind them, playing in the heat they’re used to but we’ve European games this season and it’s good to come and play teams like this.”

If Kyle could cross it would be a lot more effective.
And don't give me all that 'Lennon can't cross' malarky.
He has vastly improved and his pulled back ground ball would be devastating
if we had forwards who could hit a ball cleanly first time.
Perhaps Siggy will help.

Glad you think so Kyle, because I have seen absolutely no signs of understanding between you and Lennon since you forced your way into the team. Can and must do better.
