Nubel is ridiculously good - would be the perfect goalkeeper signing for us... and he's out of contract in the summer... surely a no brainer?

Although you just know Bayern, Juventus etc will be getting involved - absolute masters at bringing in players on a free transfer.

We just need to do what they do, offer a juicy signing on bonus and make an offer to S04 during the January window. If we leave this until the summer it will become almost impossible to do given the competition we would be facing from the Euro Giants.

I think a keeper is going to be a essential buy asap
I believe lloris will want out as soon as he is fit due to poch going.
Haven't got a clue who we would or could get but Jose has had a good habit of buying great keepers.

I agree. As others have said Nubel looks a very good shout considering the lack of a fee.

If not then Mike Maignan from Lille makes a world of sense considering we have two of their coaches now, one being the GK coach. The other I'd look at his Alex Meret from Napoli or Strakosha from Lazio.

My view is that we've seen zero drop off with Gazza in goal. There's not been any saves that he should've made and hasn't. His kicking is better than Lloris and he's been a calm presence in goal.

Lloris has been, and is, a world class shot stopper but in all honesty, making elite saves is a bonus and matters very little when your keeper is also pulling cruyff turns in his own 6 yard box. Keepers need to simply do their jobs, make the saves you're supposed to make and limit mistakes to an absolute bare minimum. Lloris hasn't done the latter in his last few years.

Tottenham’s interest in Ake has long been reported. The Telegraph themselves claimed that the club’s ‘scouting department’ has been a fan of his since Mauricio Pochettino’s days. But a report from the Football Insider says that could continue into Mourinho’s reign.

The source is not the most trustworthy, but they do claim Tottenham might want a couple of centre-halves in the next two transfer windows. And that does sound very Mourinho. Plus, as a centre-back who can fill in on the left, he would make a perfect replacement for Jan Vertonghen.

Big difference is we’ve now got the ultimate shit-houser Jorge Mendes in our camp. Well, maybe Raiola is the ultimate shithouser, but it’s close.

What with Levy seemingly close to Pini Zahavi too after using him to get Ndombele and Mourinho that’s alot top-end slimy darkside agent power at our disposal.

Levy is on a Mission, I thought I read that he vowed never to work with these smile ball agents a few years ago?

Yes. The tournament in Brazil goes from March to December. So the january window is the best time to get someone from Brazil imo
Here's the tweet you mention

Plays better on the left. He's similar to Mane imo, so he would be a good fit

I like Everton. But he's not what we need if he's best on the left like Mané. We should buy for positions not just because they're good. We have bigger holes than luxury players imo.

Personally i like O. Dembele, Ziyech, Zaniolo, Bale etc..

That was Bournemouth's valuation of him for Leicester because Leicester had the money due to selling Maguire, highly doubt he's gonna cost anywhere near that.
Also, surely Everton or West Ham have got to throw a load of cash at Howe soon. He can’t stay at Bournemouth forever and him leaving is gonna lead to unrest there.

Will watch Are when we play them on saturday again. But I'm far from convinced by him. Just because he scores a couple of goals doesn't make him a good defender.

He can play on the right. He plays there too. It's just that I think he's better on the left as he likes to cut in and shoot. Son can switch sides too.

The ones you mention would command a seriously high fee (except Ziyech) and are not the kind of winger we would need imo. I'd rather have a player with the characteristics we need and switch him sides, than have someone different just because they are better on the right.
On top of that I think Everton could come as a squad player. The other ones would demand a first team slot. Ziyech is the exception of most of what I said, but he plays centrally.
Winger is also not a priority, so I'd rather use less money for a potentially great player, and save the rest for RB and DM

He "can" play. Yes. Son can also play on the right, but he's not good in that position. Like Eriksen/Lamela/Lo Celso. That's my point.

If Mourinho wanna play like City/Liverpool with 2 quick WF's, we need a starter that is left-footed. Lucas is alright, but I think we can do better in the future.
