He’s been out injured for the last few months, but he returned to full training this week, so you should see him return to action in the coming weeks.

Do you know how long Dilan Markanday is out for?

only time i've seen whittaker was last year in italy as part of an u17 group, was playing as a winger then though and was pretty small, assume he must've shot up a bit since then to now be leading the line for our u18s. he's the first u16 to make an appearance for the u18s this season.

He's shot up massively, from when I last saw him

Keeper played well.

We lined up 3 at the back, all fairly comfortable on the ball. Walcott was the best of the 3. Blf was shaky to start with but improved.

Bowden and white were neat and tidy, not too expansive though white did play some nice passes.

Maghoma is a very cultured player though he was a bit quieter 2nd half.

Shash was a non factor in this game.

Poch jr too one footed and not good enough.

Jneil did some good things but by and large was well shackled by their rb.

Didn't realise this was whittaker's first u18 game, though it showed as he struggled. Was quite isolated though.

We had most of the ball but derby were a fast physical side who threatened on the counter. Their lb tyree wilson was comfortably the best player on the pitch, dont know if regular youth watchers know much about him.

Just found out that, second-year scholar, Jeremie Mukendi is out injured until December, but he says he is ‘working harder than ever’ and remains hopeful of earning, at least, a third-year scholarship next season. Incredibly unfortunate for him, but, although he is nowhere near the best in his age group, he is talented and does deserve to remain at Spurs for another two-or-so years. Especially unlucky for him, as he was just establishing himself as an U18 regular before he got injured in early December.

You've really got to feel for those lads whose scholarships are blighted by injury. Must be heartbreaking. For all the reassurance they must get from the club I'm sure they know that the development that they are missing is vital.

If it were me I'd be heartbroken at missing a single session.

At least, at Spurs, we are very good with the injured players. I can’t remember any injured scholars or even pros being managed poorly and they’ve always been given good enough chances during and after their injury.

Rafferty Pedder is a prime example of that.

Also, Charlie Freeman and Jamie Reynolds.
The fact that the club stood by Pedder after the second operation on his arm and he did not play for 6 months after that tells you how much the club rate him also Rayan Clarke has had problems in the past.

Next thing for Freeman is to play more often.
