Genuinely so happy that this has happened. Haven't been this excited about a transfer (mens or womens team) for a long time!

I'll forever believe whoever edits the BBC Football site is a Liverpool fan/employee and so it's no suprise at all that their caption for this story is:

"Bethany England went on loan to Liverpool during the 2017/18 season, before returning to Chelsea"

A quality injection into the club & signifiant financial statement. With 2 games coming up against Chelsea, it will be a baptism of fire for Beth England!
Our current injury situation is going to hamper progress at this time though.

Watching women against Villa, doesn't matter who Spurs have up front , cannot get ball past half way line as usual but things may change if Villa pressing eases up.

Why keep trying to play fashionable passing out from the back football when you do not have players with the skill to play like that, really have to question the managers tactics. Villa are far superior in technical quality.

I don't follow the WSL all that much TBF. Is the Tottenham side a bit of a work in progress?

Not Spurs related but a landmark case in women's football has just concluded. Might not be a Bosman level game changer but an important statement.

I've only watched a handful of games but from what I gather the 5th place finish last season was above expectations, largely helped by a great start, and being 8th now (out of 12) is perhaps more in line with where the squad is at.

Having said that there are some exciting players that have come in there like Bizet and England who should hopefully long term see the team become a much bigger attacking threat than they currently are. Tactics might (should?) also hopefully change soon to make use of these new attackers.

Thanks @Marty much appreciated.

Still a Gunner I believe! Only on loan.

She is – apparently signed for Arsenal a month before their current coach came in and changed their style of play (high pressing), which she isn't really a good fit for. Technically excellent though. Seems they're making some astute signings.

Have watched the women quite a few times, if you think it's painful watching the men's team trying to play out from the back then watch the women , car crash just waiting to happen.
