Bergwijn for me has/shown all the talent required to nail down the RW spot. But Osimhen would be a fantastic addition and would get a ton of game time.

Doesnt Bergwijn prefer the left though?

I think (although is was so long ago now it seems!) that Son was moved to the right to accommodate him although no harm in having flexibility in both Son and Bergiwjn being able to play either side (and maybe swapping them about) and Son also being able to play up top.

Throwing in Osimhen would then open up even more options and players would have to keep their form to stay in the side (if everyone actually ever fit at same time!).

Where else would Campos go, by the way? United? Pretty sure Woodward doesn't want to work with a DoF. Surely he's coming to us?

Hard to tell regarding Bergwijn as Kane has been out the whole time so Son went up top and LW was open.

In a mediocre Bournemouth team, Fraser is a player who has consistently stood above the rest in creating big chances. I'm not saying he should be a guaranteed starter for us, but I don't see why we should be against a player wanting to join us when he could come in and provide some good squad competition, much like Shaqiri was a cheap squad option for Liverpool.

Yeah, Fraser on a free would be decent business for me. Nothing wrong with snapping up the better players at mid-table clubs when the chance arises. They generally make pretty reliable top 6 squad players at the very least.

What we’ve seen in both the past and with Mourinho (pre injury crisis) is that the front 3 or the 3 behind Kane play interchangeable positions... when they click they’re an absolute nightmare to mark and a key reason why pre this season we’ve scored a shed load of goals and been lethal on the counter attack.

Given the hit to our transfer budget albeit to what extent we don’t know yet it will be interesting to see whether we’re still able to plug the holes in the squad and whether we can bring in sufficient quality to push us back into a top 3/4 fight. Not signing said positions will be a disaster both on the pitch and on a business front.

Taking into account the holes and those who reportedly want out you’re looking at as a bare minimum:

GK - linked to a few
RB - lots of links
CB - José has said he wants a CB
LB - linked to a few
CM/DM - Hojbjerg?
ACM - Eze
Wide FWD/S - Fraser on a free and Osimhen

Hmm. Well, I think we have more CM's than we need and Winks and Sissoko are the most expendable. I also think we need a new CB, a new DM and at least one new RB depending on whether or not we keep Aurier.

I'm not saying it wouldn't be lovely to have an expensive squad overhaul, it's more the fact we're currently in the middle of the biggest financial crisis for a century, which quite literally makes me wonder what planet you are living on.

Funnily enough I said that earlier in the month and was pretty much laughed at then too :ROFLMAO:

Anyways, the net spend is still not too bad if we were able to sell for decent amounts.

I don't think there's anything wrong with a little harmless fantasy football - I mean, several of us like to envisage transfer scenarios that are unlikely to happen every single year. This year should be no different because it's fun to chew the fat. Bit of harmless escapism... especially in the current circumstances.

£55m for Aurier and Foyth is a bit wide of the mark, mind...

I think CM is maybe our weakest area and I think Winks and Sissoko are two of the better performers together with Lo Celso.

Ndombele and Dier can play about 20 minutes and Alli isnt good enough.

We need at least two more CM/DM.

splash the cash on an elite DM and take the gamble on skipp would be more likely though

I think we need to try and sell Dier this summer. I think he’s just got the one year left on his contract and doesn’t seem to be any talk of renewing from either side. Agree on Alli.

Both Dier and Mourinho have said he'll be a centre back from now of.
As I see it we got Dier and Alderweireld for one spot at the back, Sanchez and Tanganga for the other. Don't think that's too bad, more a matter of keeping them protected. A shield in front of them and full back's not way out of position.
Hope we go for Nathan Aké to play at left back, gives extra cover in the middle as well. Bournemouth likely the most eager Premier League club to sell players at the moment.

Why wouldn't we just buy a LB to play LB?
