I assume Paddy Pimblett is on the undercard for this as well?
Yea Paddy is fighting on the main card as well as Molly McCann.

Alexander Gustafsson is also fighting although his star has faded a bit and I can’t remember the last time he actually won a fight!

Buzzing for this Saturday, think Tom can handle Blaydes, although I do worry about Paddy being 'exposed'. Will take a lot to live up to the last London card

Gutted for Tom, is there any news on what the actual injury is? I know Bisping said it was a suspected MCL
Not been able to find anything concrete on the exact injury. Gutted for him as well, hopefully not as serious as it looked, could really change his career :(

Incredible finish and a great moment. Think he'd do well to still be champion after any rematch though!

Agreed.
For once I watched all the post fight talk and they were saying how good it be at the O2, then said Dana White mentioned Wembley Stadium… I know another venue that might work…

Yeah I mean fair play to him in that he said he'd like Masvidal which I'd actually like due to the personal hate there between them but he obviously can't walk into a title fight after the losses he's had and he must be well down the pecking order really, but if not him then he's open to the rematch with Usman so he's not shying away despite the nature of the fight he'd just had up until the head kick.
I was thinking exactly the same regarding the stadium though, would love for it to be at ours.

Also, Rockhold v Costa might be my favourite messy fight of all time. Just bat shit crazy from beginning to end. Used to hate ole Rocksalt when he was in his super smarmy phase but have latterly ended up really liking him due to his actual skills and him being a bit misunderstood.

Desperately wanted him to win but that was just a really really unfortunate series of hurdles ….

incredibly tough opponent
Altitude/broken nose/ring rust

Any one of those three things above could gas you out but to have all three happen at once is a rough bit of circumstances

His stand up defence actually looked very improved and his chin seemed recovered tbh.

There was no way that was a 30-27, his body language caused that to happen. Arguably Rockhold was landing the most effective shots and I’ll never tire of seeing his kicks. He even got a tornado kick in there !!

Shouting fuck you and landing a straight left down the pipe = hilarious

managing to get on top and crazily smearing his blood on Costa = hilarious

Costa in general = hilarious

whole thing was just mental fun

Agreed, thought Costa was going to KO Rockhold In the first, was a super entertaining fight though. Costa got a lot to learn still.

It's such a gulf in class between Adesanya, Whittaker, (Pereira?) > rest of the division

Hopefully we throw our hat in the ring for hosting a UFC mega fight like Usman v Edwards 3. Would be massive for the stadium exposure.

Yep i’d imagine we will, but listening to dana, i think cardiff may get it. Dana is never a fan of stadium fights partly due to atmosphere but more so weather and british weather in march/april next year can hardly be trusted. Hence i think he will go for a roof and the principality in cardiff makes the most sense.

Surely there must be a place in birmingham that could hold it?
As i grew up in Birmingham and live up the road in Solihull I can safely say that there isn’t a stadium that can meet the demands. Villa park is getting run down and the only random arena that did anything like a stadium fight was bellew at everton but that was because he was a diehard evertonian and wanted to replicate the creed movie he stared in.

We have two indoor arena’s the NIA and NEC (which have been rebranded but i still call them that) but capacity is between 12-15,000 for each of them. Dana, Leon and Usman keep saying they want a sell out stadium. I think Dana has seen how big the ufc is getting here and he is good mates with Eddie Hearn and although he doesnt like stadiums I think he respected how Joshua constantly sold out stadium fights so it would be a big tick for the UFC to do the same.

If they decide against a stadium I hope that Leon pushes for it to be in Birmingham instead of the O2, the extra few thousand on a gate won’t be the be all and end all and Leon heavily promotes his home city.
